The scripture is clear that Cornelius feared God before he believed the Gospel of His Salvation, which was sent to him of God by Peter. We read in Acts 10:2,22

2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

You know there is a Blessing Upon the Man that Fears God. Ps 112:1

Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

    Ps 128:1

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Cornelius was Like Job before the Lord Job 1:1

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Also before Cornelius believed the Gospel, scripture says that he was a Just man Acts 10:22

And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

That too has a blessing attached to it, for remember Noah Gen 6:9

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

    Prov 9:9

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

    Prov 4:18

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Was not that True with Cornelius ? Was not his path unto the Light of the Gospel ? 2 Cor 4:6

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Thats exactly what God to that Just Man Cornelius !

Cornelius Feared God before He believed the Gospel !2

Not only did Cornelius fear God before He believed the Gospel, which proved that he was already born again , for no man fears God by nature Rom 3:18

18 There is[present tense] no fear of God before their eyes.,

But he was also had been already cleansed from all sin by the Blood of Christ, which is why Jesus spake these words to Peter in regards to him Acts 10:15

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

    Acts 11:9

9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

The Voice of the Living Christ Vs 8 indicated that God hath cleansed him, for that word cleansed is the greek word kathariz┼Ź:

Its the same word used in 1 Jn 1:7

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Its also where this word comes from in Heb 1:3

    Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had G2512 by himself purged G2512 our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

C.a cleansing from the guilt of sins wrought by the expiatory sacrifice of Christ

The Death of Christ purged, cleansed all for whom He died from the guilt of sins before God, Justifying them in His sight.

This Justification had Cornelius before he was sent the Gospel !

All for whom Christ died have been cleansed by the Blood of Christ alone ! And so each of them He died for shall have a word of Salvation sent to them, informing them of the Good News !

It says that he feared God and did good works.
    So do Islamic suicide bombers!

Can you ever make an honest and sane post?

There is a vast difference between the claims of Islamic extremists and the words of Holy Writ. Do you agree? When the Word of God says in Acts 10:2 "He and all his family were devout and God-fearing" we can believe it, because it is the authoritative God-breathed Word.

But for a Muslim suicide bomber to claim that he fears God is not on par with the Scripture stating the absolute truth about an individual and his family.

The rich young ruler in Mark 10 said that he kept the Ten Commandments. He did good and had a good reputation among all.
His devotion and sincerity; his love for his "god" and good works are the same as the Islamic "god" and their good works. They end up in the same place--"The Lake of Fire."
He may have been sincere--but sincerely wrong. If Peter had not come with the gospel Cornelius would also have gone to HELL.
There is no such thing as a regenereated person who is not saved.

Yet that is the ridiculous position we have here with the Calvinists!
