I saw Huckabee do an interview on The News Hour with Jim Leher on PBS. He's by far the friendliest candidate imho. I think we can do better than Huckabee, but we could also do much, much worse. I could vote for him.

He is one of the ones I could vote for. Of course, he stands head and shoulders above all the Democrats, along with Giuliani, Romney, and McCain, IMO.

His chance at the nomination is slim. I think he is a man of principle, and would not change course with the polls. I do not know how he did as governor.

Huckabee is fine if you want someone who was a tax raiser as governor and who wanted to give taxpayer-funded college scholarships to the children of illegal aliens and who was mixed up in the release of Wayne Dumond from prison.

I was impressed with Mike Huckabee as a Lt. Governor and later as Governor when he finished Jim Guy Tucker's short term in office. I voted for Huck once and felt betrayed after he was elected the first time. The Huckster portrays himself as being for the common man but it is all show(A very good one at that). Not a man to be trusted IMO and lacks serious organizational skills, I don't think he could put togethor a very good Cabinet in his administration.

So, two BaptistBoard members from Arkansas are not supporters of Baptist Mike Huckabee?!? That could temper my enthusiasm.... I'll keep watching Mike and see what I think. Thanks for the insight!
