Only one thing wrong with you post (Actually your signature line)... This is
A Portrait of a Liar...
 I can't argue with you on that one.
It's really amazing. He lies with impunity and doesn't care when he's caught.
I thought Clinton was bad, but he can't hold a candle to this guy. Clinton, at least , tried not to get caught in a lie.
Even Pelosi came out and implied that Oba-mao doesn't take his own campaign promises seriously:
White House: We will NOT discuss broken C-Span promise

On Tuesday, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs declined to answer questions about the president's campaign commitment to hold health-care negotiations on C-Span. Gibbs said he had not seen a letter from C-Span's Brian Lamb to congressional leaders requesting the coverage and thus could not comment on it.
On Wednesday, Gibbs was asked again about the C-Span commitment. The story had gotten pretty big in the intervening time, and presumably Gibbs had had a chance to familiarize himself with it. So reporters tried for a second day to get him to comment on the president's commitment to holding televised health-care talks. Gibbs' answer? "We covered this yesterday." Gibbs referred reporters to the transcript of Tuesday's briefing and said, "The answer I would give today is similar."
But of course, he hadn't answered the question at all.
Just a question: Does President Obama actually have the authority to have tv cameras film health-care negotiations for C-Span? I would think that decision would be for Congress to determine. Don't get me wrong, I strongly support such an idea. But I'm wondering if that is one of those campaign promises that a president has no intention of fulfilling. Sort of like Bush's claim he believed in small government (during the '99/'00 campaign).
I have no doubt that if Obama wanted those debates to be televised he could make it happen.
If he's not going to fulfill a campaign promise, he would do well to not make the promise in the first place.
==I don't know that is true. How do Congressional rules deal with this topic? I'm just not sure Obama (or any President) has the power to get this done by himself. I am certain there would have to be votes in both houses of Congress (etc).
My point is that I think the accusations being leveled against Obama, in this case, are unfair.
==I agree. That is why I think George W Bush should have been honest and told us up front that he was a big government "conservative". Then we could have gone with a different choice. Instead we believed what he said and spent the next 8 years watching the federal government grow in size and power. Now President Obama continues the work of growing big government. It is a disaster and one day we will regret electing these big government liberals/conservatives to office.
Of cours it is. You're being ridiculous. What the messiah wants from democrats, the messiah gets.
The corrupt old media finally admits the problem...even as they try to explain it away.

Obama Reneges on Health Care Transparency
CBS) President Obama wants the final negotiations on health care reform - a reconciliation of the House and Senate versions of the bill - put on a fast track, even if that means breaking an explicit campaign promise.
"The House and Senate plan to put together the final health care reform bill behind closed doors according to an agreement by top Democrats," House Speaker Nanci Pelosi said today at the White House.
The White House is on board with that, too, reports CBS News political correspondent Chip Reid. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stressed today that "the president wants to get a bill to his desk as quickly as possible."
During the campaign, though, candidate Obama regularly promised something different - to broadcast all such negotiations on C-SPAN, putting the entire process of pounding out health care reform out in the open.
==A conclusion without reasons and an attack. Can you provide one shred of evidence to support your accusation? Or is this just the bash Obama thread?
Without reason? Hardly.
Being in denial about the power of suggestion from Obama to democrats in Congress is being in denial about the entire process. I wonder why he has had several well publicized meetings with democrats? Couldn't have been to let them know what he wants , could it? Wake up.
Obama deserves to be bashed . He is completely dishonest, a pathological liar and socialist ideologue. He stands in opposition to almost everything that America stands for, and is trying to fundamentally change who we are and what we stand for. I can't think of a single thing good to say about him. So, "bash him" I will.
==Well, for starters, that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the actual legal power/authority. That is why I spoke of "Congressional rules" (etc). However I don't think Obama has a blank check with the Democrats on Capital Hill. If he does, he has not used it. They have really hurt his ratings (as if he needed their help). Based on what I have seen, I would be more inclined to think that he has placed himself at their mercy (which, as president, is a stupid thing to do).
==Obama is no more dishonest or liar than most of the other folks in D.C. (Republican or Democrat). Maybe he is a ideologue, but at least we know where he stands (liberal).
==Since the majority of Americans voted him into office, I don't think that is a fair assessment. Maybe it is you, and myself, that no longer fit in American society. Let's face it, we are swimming up stream. We are not in Kansas anymore my friend.
==Care to explain? What is "absurd"? Why is it "absurd"?
Comn on Martin look at the pattern. This whole bill has been nothing but one closed door meeting after another. It's obvious that the dem's want as little debate as possible and want to keep the public in the dark as much as possible. Why? If most people truly understood what this bill was going to do there would be a pubilc uproar. It would go the same way as the cap and trade bill. There's no doubt in my mind that Obama is lying through his teeth on this one.
