Of course there are...and they were taken surreptitiously. Do you not remember the serviceman who got in trouble for taking such pictures. Do some research yourself and you will find this.

And where, pray tell, are said nuclear weapons?

DOVER, Del. - President Bush considers the release of photographs of flag-draped military coffins a reminder of the fallen troops’ sacrifice but believes family privacy should be respected, the White House said Friday.

Defense Department officials said the photos, issued last week and posted on an Internet site, should not have been made public under a policy prohibiting media coverage of human remains. Some activists argue that the photos, which were released last week, underscore the war’s human cost.

It is simply part of the attempt to hide the real human cost of the way and keep such views away from the public.

If I knew, they wouldn't be hidden would they? :)

You may not see all of the coffins, but you hear on the news everyday how many soldiers are killed. Most of the time, the names are kept private out of respect for the families.

And I do agree with protecting the families privacy in regards to the coffins being publicized, but there are still videos that creep through.

I think it should be up to the families whether or not they want the burial of their loved one to be a media event.

I have an invisible pony in my living room. You can't say he isn't there just because you can't see him. Otherwise he wouldn't be invisible would he?

I agree totally with Sue, we seem to value privacy in this country, yet we think we can invade someone else's privacy by photographing their coffin, or even their dead body. Have some respect for these soldiers.

I am curious, how is a person's privacy invaded if a flag draped coffin is shown, but no names are given? No one knows who is in the coffin.

The weapons Sue spoke of are not ridiculously claimed to be invisible. There's a difference between hidden and invisible.

No respect for anyone is there. Even a dead soldier, who shouldn't have to be paraded for your entertainment.

This thread is about tee shirts, not dead soldiers funerals, start a new thread and get back on topic. If your attention span can stand it.

Yep, it's highjacked and on page 3 or 4, so let's close it down.
