I like Yogi Berra well enough, but I would never vote for him to hold the highest office in the land.

    Everyone likes Will Rogers.
</font>[/QUOTE]I think Kerry could learn something from Yogi. Something Bush already knows.

You're still being an immature name-caller. How am I supposed to take your posts seriously if all you can do is call names like a playground bully?

I've done a lot more than that -- I've provided links and evidence. Why not discuss the evidence? Look at it and tell me why it's wrong.

Can we have some civility in this campaign for the last two weeks?

Remember, come November 3 we are all going to be in the same boat and we had then best start pulling in the same direction - regardless of who wins on November 2.

    Civility? On the Board?

Another case of not agreeing with the message, so attack the messenger. I very seldom agree with Daisy about anything, but there is no point to the personal attacks on her.

President Bush has gotten bad advice from Karl Rove on nearly everything. Yet, he continues him on as an adviser. There are learners and non-learners on this earth. President Bush seems to be a non-learner. Case in point: Our porous borders. Conservatives have harped on this for nearly four years - still - he refuses to put our troops on our borders and 4000 illegal aliens come across daily. Nonlearner. Chechynan terrorists (possibly 25) have come across our southern border in recent days, according to the news. Still....President Bush refuses to defend and protect our borders (as mandated by the Constitution).

It has now been asserted (long after the fact) that President Reagan had signs of Alzheimer's when he was in office (it was on a special on CNN about medical health of our presidents). That explains how he fell for the liberal Ted Kennedy plan of granting amnesty to illegal aliens in 1986. Perhaps in time, historians will look back on this presidency and the facts will be known to the American public at some future time and we will find out that President Bush is not well. Not stupid, but suffering from problems. Crazy? No. But no one in their RIGHT mind would continue to leave our borders porous after 09/11 while continuing to issue warnings that we could be attacked again at any time. It just isn't logical.

The "messenger" didn't merely post a message from some other source, but gave a "message" herself:

Is it any wonder why some board members would take offense to her own words here? If she doesn't want to open herself up to the scrutiny of other posters, she should keep her personal commentary to herself.

It's difficult to word the sentiment delicately.

Why would I not comment on my own thread?

The thing is, in the course of this thread, I've changed my view from "he was always *that way*" to something much sadder and scarier. If you can view the Bush-Richardson debate and the recent Bush-Kerry debates (especially the first one), and then convince me that he has not deteriorated notably, I'd actually be relieved.

    Anyone?

    Thanks.

There's been more than one president ill in office.

I don't mind and I'm sure others do not when you comment on any thread, including your own. The thing is, y'all complain about "attacking the messenger" when the messenger didn't merely just deliver the message. That's all I'm saying.

The scary thing is, Bush seems to have had a major personality shift since becoming president.

I miss having him as governor (his replacement is so corrupt and incompetent that it appears at least two major GOP figures will challenge him in the primaries) Bush was a pretty good governor, with few exceptions, and he was known as a man of good will and nonpartisan pragmatism.

All that seems to have disappeared, and it is worrisome.

Well, then, since you have now commented (and not about the message), do you think that you are fair game for attacking? I don't.

So Gershom, did you at least look at the little link? It's just a couple of minutes long, four clips of Bush speaking and a bit of written commentary (and some snappy background music). It won't take much of your time...tell me your opinion of it, please. [IMG]

Why, scared of what you might hear? You should be, it's disturbing.

Daisy, Gershom has not shown any desire on this board to listen to any opinion that might cause him to question his own.

No, it would take some discernment to actually watch something and then comment on its content. It is much easier to stand behind a Republican no matter how STUPID he is or how OUT OF TOUCH he is.

Daisy, don't expect Gershom to say anything against our president as long as he is a Republican. Now if Kerry were to win the presidency, God forbid, Gershom would have plenty to say against everything he says and does.

BTW, I do not support Kerry or Bush. Both of these men are not fit to be President.

So what about you, KenH? Not that you're overwhelmed with respect for 43 to begin with, but did you view the link? What do you think?

I wouldn't mind hearing from a Bush-booster what they think of the clip, after they've viewed it, in his favor.
