My country tis of thee, sweet land of liberty.....do you recall that song. My generation sang it daily in school. I haven't thought about it in years to be honest. Not when our liberties are being ripped from us and our sense of Christian values and morality are being reduced and mocked. The deffinition of marriage is...well you know what it is to a practicing Christian. Thus I stand with Ms. DAVIS in her refusal to be a party to moral and spiritual decay. Good for you sister and you go girl:thumbs:

We are strangers and pilgrims here on the earth. Heaven is our real home.

But speaking in a secular sense I wish we could start America over again somewhere else. But where?

The man is "gifted" at doing exactly what you accused him of. If he isn't working for obamanation, he should be

In your hometown....if its like mine, then its primitive. Grow where you are planted......never mind that the soil is rocky and claylike. Cultivate, cultivate, cultivate.

But let me ask you a question, what is and where is the kingdom of God?

Google "Against Heterosexuality" and a "First Things" article should pop up. Read it. I posted it sometime ago here but was accused of discussing human sexuality and it got closed or zapped or both.

Here is a question that is comparable.

The law of the land in the 1850's required that runaway slaves be returned to their owners. Even if they were residing in non-slave states.

Is it your honest belief that, when confronted with a situation where an official was aware that an escaped slave was within his jurisdiction, that he must either return the slave to the owner or resign? Any official or officer of the law?

I agree. The conditions under which free state government officials and residents lived in the days of the Fugitive Slave Act and the Dred Scott Decision are the closest to what we are facing with same sex marriages.

History may not repeat itself, but it can and does rhyme.

Yes, and I think that many today would applaud officials of those times who ignored the Fugitive Slave Act, and also refused to resign their positions. In that respect it is the same.
Kim Davis is just on the wrong side of political correctness.
