When I post and include a biblical reference say John 1:1, the reference appears in blue and if you click on it, you are taken to the verse. But the version is from the American Standard Bible, with archaic words such as Thee and Thou.

I would like to see if when a link appears in one of my posts, it takes you to the NASB95 version of the verse or passage.

The ASV is the default bible version for the BB.
To make it your chosen version you have to link it to a website using your version.
    John 1:1 LEB
    John 1:1 NASB

    Directions:
    1. Locate the website page with your verse and copy the url address at the top of the page.
    2. Type the verse on your BaptistBoard post.
    3. Locate the "linked chain" in the location bar above your post - a pop-up will as you for the link - paste the URL address you copied.

 Direction 2b - highlight the verse after typing it.

Thanks Deacon, apparently you are saying I would have to do all this for every verse I reference in every post I post. I thought it might be possible to change the default bible to the NASB as a one time selection. Say something done on my home page when I designate my favorite bible.
On a slightly less significant note, the link only works for a Psalm reference if you refer to it as Psalms. I was taught that was not the right way.

We would do well to consider the copyright hoops the ownership would have to deal with in using the most modern translations.

Such an option would improve the messages, and eliminate using an archaic version.

Do you know of any translations which meet your criteria which are in the public domain or at least have very liberal copy right restrictions?

While on the subject of automatic linking to posted biblical references, I do not think the link to Acts works. When I post Acts 1:1 it does not turn blue.
