D.L. Moody on prayer and preaching

    I like Moody; that's a great quote, and we all ought to pray more. But Christ's Sermon on the Mount and Olivet Sermon and others were the best in history. I bet they learned just by watching the Master Preacher at work!

    Jesus was constantly teaching, that is true. What Moody points out, that is worth noting, is that Jesus gave no specific instruction on how to "do ministry" other than specific teaching on how to pray.

    Very true. And that makes me think, Jesus knew the disciples would have an easier time preaching than praying. That's true with me, I know..

    I have never met a pastor who would say that he prayed enough.
