Well the flag burning amendment missed approval by one vote in the Senate. So while flag burning may continue, there are some considerations to be made. 1. What are the effects of the second hand smoke from a burning flag? How dangerous is inhaling a synthetic flag with dye in it? Is this a cancer causing carcinigent? 2. What are the effects of the burning synthetics and dye to the ozone? Is this contributing to global warming? Because of the potential harmful effects of flag burning it is important to begin appropriate regulation of this dangerous and potentially harmful activity. Flag burning should be limited to areas that do not put innocent bystanders in harms way of the second hand smoke. Large crowds are a potential hazard and danger. The EPA should begin research into needful regulations of this practice to protect our environment from the harmful materials. released into the atmosphere.
