Daniel Webster from Florida will be running for speaker of the house against McCarthy. Daniel was speaker of the house in Florida for many years. He is also a very godly man and a strong conservative. There is not an ounce of corruption in him and he does not lie. This is the type of man we need in congress.

Webster is, indeed, a good man. He would make a wonderful Speaker.

If all that is true then he doesn't stand a chance.

Don't need a disciple of Bill Gothard being in charge of anything.

I did not realize this thread would turn into slander.

Slander - the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.

    Not slander if it's true

In that case maybe he meant conspiracy theory.

Conspiracy Theory - Designation assigned by corporate media to any idea divergent of government narrative.

I think Gothardism has hurt the Church, and I am opposed to the family integrated church movement. That said, Webster as Speaker of the House would be fine. I do not see where his Christian theological distinctives would have a negative impact politically.

"There is not an ounce of corruption in him and he does not lie. "

I think that his comment might be borne from the frustration of others disagreeing with his opinion.

You probably rated something (take your pick) he said as dumb so he responded in kind to show you that he didn't appreciate it.

I admit that I am inclined to agree, but I would not want to assume another's motive. This is the reason why I asked, and I would like to give him the opportunity to answer.

And note: RevMitchell did not answer my "Dumb" request...
