Lots of truth in this article.
Certainly you can name three churches that are like those described in the article. Can you?
I am quite sure there are churches out there that do this. However, having lights and videos do not mean that the service is nothing more than a production. It is not an either or scenario. Those things can and are used to glorify God.
Christians do have another language, so to speak. It is because we are using language from a book created by God. We also live lives apart from the world in many ways.
Yes there are a lot of churches where they are inwardly focused. Many churches need to find a balance.
Let's define bigotry: stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.
Someone who leaves a church based on the op qualifies for this very definition.
Uh this one is just an excuse to have the church lower its doctrinal standards and allow perverted behavior in the church.
The church is imperfect. It is this way because it is made up of imperfect people. It is full of sinners and liars.
It is also full of hypocrites...oh...and there is always room for one more. If you come into the church and leave because you find flawed people intolerable all the while complaining that you cannot be tolerant of them then we all know what that means.
