Maybe you could sell your Palm Pilot on e-bay and pay part of your dental bills.

Theology is not seperate from scripture.

    Here

    Academic subdisciplines
Biblical Theology- focused on the investigation and interpretation of a religions' scriptures, especially noting different emphases (theologies) within different biblical books.

Biblical Studies- focused on the interpretation and exegesis of the Bible.

Historical Theology- focused on the intellectual history of the religion

Moral Theology- explores the and dimensions of the religious life

Patrology- studies the teaching of Church Fathers

Practical Theology- dedicated to the practical application of theological insights. Generally includes the subdisciplines of , , and Christian , among others.

Systematic Theology-(doctrinal theology, dogmatic theology or philosophical theology) - focused on the attempt to arrange and interpret the ideas current in the religion.

My Palm Pilot is used to manage my schedule, keep my budgets with Quicken, store notes, record audio, take pictures, and so much else I cannot live without. Especially when I was in school it was vital. Its a shame they are not as popular as they once where. But there was a time when eveyrone had a Palm.

And besides since this Palm is know 2 years old and has some cosmetic damage, I doubt I could get much for it. Its worth more to me, than I would get trying to sell it.

I am not here to debate KJV Onlyism. I am striving for a debate on debt.

This is a controversial issue you know. Just do a little research and find more than one view on it.

If that is your opinion then so be it. But I just won my last debate on Evil with an atheist.

Its been a while since I had a debate with a christian. But this forum is not for debating as IIdb.org is strictly for debating.

I need to know my audience. My fault.

Whichever branch of theology one follows the same garden is the basis of all facts. Systematic theology is the orderly garden of the Bible...a Bible study. Regular Bible study without the coherency of systematic theology is not worthy of being called biblical studies.

You still did not name your school. I am rather curious as well. My schools are London Bible College (British Baptists); Toronto Baptist Seminary; Toronto Bible College; Chicago Divinity School (masters and doctorate)....Now which school did you graduate from?

    Cheers,

    Jim

I very much care what Hanagraaf says on anything and everything that does not relate to eschatology.

Hank has helped me dozens of times in the many tiems i have called him and asked him questions. But I have never asked him a question on his eschatology since we strong disagree.

But the difference between me and other fundamentalists is that I will not overlook his wisdom and knowledge just because we disagree on one system of theology.

No one is better at Hank for exposing the cults, frauds and false christian deceivers and Terrorists than Hank Hanagraaf.

Hank is also veyr helpful on topical ministry application.

I called and asked him his view on debt and he told me what the bible said. The bible does not forbid debts, it only forbids not paying on them. Yes perhaps I may haev a debt I will never pay, but the bible asks me to pay as much as I can.

    Bible John,

I think your are usually capable, but trying to take on multiple people in an arguement and incite them a little might be a stretch even for someone of your capability.

This tactic may have worked for you in the past, I don't know. But, in my experience this usually does not work long term.

OK, but you did seem pretty concerned with touchet on other forums, so I thought you'd like the opportunity to go at him in person. (and KJV-Onlyism is not his only problem, but rather his doctrine of Noah's sons and which produced good or bad music).

I can and will take on them Lord willing. IIdb.org only allows one debate at a time.

I will only debate issues that I have knowledge. I have no knowledge of this Noah issue. But I will debate debt.

Ask him to challenge me there.

    John

    Now back to your issue.

You continue to 'seek' a new job, but have difficulty finding one that pays more than $800 a month. Now I realize that you may not like an old man's wisdom, but that old man was my grand pa, since he is now deceased, please be kind.

He taught me that when you 'need' a job bad enough, you can find a job. When he told me this I was 16 and unemployed. I really thought that he had to be a little crazy. He explained the relationship between 'want' and 'need'. Once, you have to have a job. Once, you decide that you MUST get rid of your debt. Once, you decide you MUST have a job (or jobs) to help finance this, you can quickly move from debt to freedom.

parenthetical aside: I already explained to you some of my situation. If (when) I get my back pay, I will be basically debt free. But, I am already looking for a new career. I have had to turn down employment, because my doctor has not wanted to release me to FT work, yet. From our his conversation - I should be able to return to FT within the month.

My grandpa taught me that once you really 'need' the work.
The way to find a good job is to do your homework.
Keep in contact with your friends.
Learn to treat each person as the person that will recommend you for your next job.
Decide what kind of Job you want.
Determine what companies that you want to work for.
Learn to interview people that work at the company you want to work for.
Do not work for a company that will only make you miserable (Unless you have to put food on the table).

When you go by to fillout an application, ask to take it home so that you can fill it out and it be more readable. Then ask if it would be better for them (the human resource people) if you brought back the next morning (tomorrow) or the day after at 8:30 (maybe 9:00 in Cali's late to work traffic issues). the 8:30 let's them get to work before you do. DO NOT BE LATE!!!! This will show them that a person applying for a job has the dedication to be on time.

God bless - may you and your debt be better soon.

    Wayne

Then my only suggestion would be to go out and get another job, or a better paying job.

    Flip burgers
    Dig Ditches
    Pick up Trash

Do whatever it takes to get out of debt. Stop complaining about it, and DO something.

Thats what is took for me to get back on my feet and I am glad I did.

Why would it be so important to you for someone here on this board, go over to a Non-Christian board and debate you there? You're not a long term member over there. They mock your debating skills over there, and in general, in the peanut gallery mock you.

Can you tell us why we should hang out over there instead of here?

With the expection of the rules, please give me a couple of good reasons why you are begging people to come over there?

I say with the exception of the rules because I am sure we can create the guidelines here, just as they created them there, so the rules are a moot point.
