I will defend our military because they are supposed to be defending me. That does not mean that I defend the corrupt politicians in power who willfully send our troops into harm's way for their own political agendas. IMO, Viet Nam, probably Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq have been a waste - both of lives of our brave military as well as the mental, emotional, and outward scars and disfigurements from battle, and our national treasure. Our greatest treasure, IMO, are the brave souls who are in harm's way. Even though I do not agree that they are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq to defend OUR freedom, I salute them for doing what they have signed up to do. And I am trusting that if the day comes when they are called upon to defend OUR freedom, they will do so with honor. I will personally never know such bravery and valor even though that is not recognized by some in the United States, even some here on this BB, it would seem from some comments posted here. :tear:

I salute you and thank you for your service, even as the 4th of July is drawing near - while people here in the US are celebrating with fireworks and cookouts, you on active duty, will be in fire fights and praying the next step you take will not take off your limbs or blind you or end your life by an IED. You are holding the line for an ungrateful people, but I am thankful you would hold the line for me, if called upon to do so. I call upon all Americans to stop and think about our brave troops and intelligence people who are serving this nation in many ways that we may never understand or know about. A pox on those (including the CIC) who would "out" our military and intelligence secrets. They are enemies of the State as far as I am concerned and should be booted out for treason.

But you, our military, continue on. You are the bravest men and women on this planet and I salute you. I do not salute and am under no obligation to salute the politicians in power or the puppet masters behind them who have a deplorable foreign policy for this nation and have had an unconstitutional foreign policy for this nation for decades--from both political parties.

Okay, now the thread is started. Let's keep a discussion of the rightness or wrongness of our foreign policy here instead of derailing other threads.

    Thank you,
    LE :flower:

We no longer have a military serving the USA. The UN and the global corporations co opted it long ago. The present administration even claims it derives it's authority to make war from the "international community" not the congress of the United States or the constitution. Says it right to the congress critters faces and what do they do? Nothing!

    <PA deleted - LE>.

If you truly believed what you wrote here, then you would be willing to take up arms and shed blood--especially your own--and rebel against this corrupt regime. It's what the forefathers of our country did.

But here's the hypocritical part: what would you put in its place? Some utopian ideal government? And how long would it last? Until some power-hungry despot captures the citizens' imagination, gets himself elected, and then starts giving governmental positions to his cronies? Or would it start immediately with you and your buddies giving each other those positions because you know better than the rest of us? How long until the forced education programs to show us the error of our ways?

The problem with government, politics, and even religion, has ALWAYS been people. Good people make changes. People that follow them corrupt what came before. Or corrupt people make changes; and the people that follow them are just as corrupt, or are opposed by all the other corrupt ones who were benefitting from the corruption. That's why someone came up with the saying: Power corrupts. If no one wanted power, we'd be in a much better place. But not only do most of us want it; we continue to support and follow those that want it.

There are some who do the best they can in the system they find themselves in; they make change for the better in any way they can, no matter how small. And in a corrupt system, they still maintain their honor and fight and protect you and I. And yes, I'm talking about Sapper; and thousands of other young men and women that I've had the honor to work with, who, in a "corrupt system," did their best to to stem the corruption, did their best to do something about it.

All I hear from you is complaints. Time to put up. Do you really believe in what you're saying? Enough to really do something about it?

    Agree.

Thus all politics is local and the smallest defensible government is best.

God created us but Col. Colt made us equal. God created the nations but Albert Einstein and the Manhattan Project made them equal.

The US Constitution should be repealed and the US reorganized under a revised Articles Of Confederation. Each of the 50 Sovereign States would take control of military bases in its jurisdiction and the Confederation could be financed (the original problem) by a 1% electronic transfer tax.

    What a joke!

I haven't heard anything from you Don. You don't even complain. You haven't put up anything and therefore you haven't risked anything. Back some time ago Webmaster used to put out a list of ISPS that regularly visited BB guess what? Half of them were government!

Did I shut up when I found this out? No, did I stay silent like you and the rest of the BB tribe here? No! The government hears me loud and clear Don. They don't hear you at all do they? Why is that Don?

You've risked nothing at all. So don't even try and tell me I haven't put my neck on the chopping block for this country and the kids in the military I do it all the time. And you? What do you talk about? Let me sum up your posts. "Lefties are bad, righties are good."

That's it Don. You don't need to post anymore. You've already said all there is for you to say politically. It doesn't take 10,000 posts just to say "lefties are bad, righties are good". And I ain't about the let the "liberals" here off the hook either. What happend to you? Did the great Obama steal your backbone? You all used used to be against the needless slaughter of Bushes wars, now that they are Obama's wars you haven't made a peep!

You say you honor the men and women in the military, Don? How's that by telling them you support their efforts? Hey guys, I support you! The government is going to send you on another illegal fool's errand to die for the greed of their banking and corporate masters. But worry not I, Don support your efforts!

Hey guys your "honorable" death and dismemberments are helping to create a one world government for the banks and corporations at the expense of every person on this planet, including me, Don but I support your efforts!

What a crock! I actually do support the troops buddy. I tell em the truth. They're laying their lives down for the lies and greed of a handfull of evil people not protecting the United States or it's citizens.

You would do all you can to keep this truth from them while "honoring" their deaths that you yourself helped along. <PA deleted - LE>

That's not honor at all that's causing their death by helping to keep them ignorant.

You haven't risked anything at all <PA deleted - LE> these kids that keep getting sent to foreign lands to die and be maimed for what? So a Wall Street or London banker can buy into an Iraqi bank??? So General Electric can sell more weapons? So they can go on to Libya and Syria and die in another needless war just so you can "honor" them? <PA deleted- LE> keep telling them they're doing what right by me, Don. Protecting me, Don. Don't let the government's terrorists get Don.

I'm being honest and leveling with these kids and by so doing I may even be on Obama's "terrorist hit list". Lord knows I haven't made any friends here because of it. But I'm okay with that you know why, Don? Because you aren't on any "terrorist hit list". And evidently you have alot of friends here.

You keep doing something I never could.

You keep acquiescescing to evermore tyranny and telling our military people the best they can do is to be just like you.

Men speak up, cowards stay silent, Don.

Okay LE. I'm done for now. Hard to keep up with me ain't it?

Well, they sure know what's on my mind anyhow. Wonder if Webmaster would post those results again? Wonder if the government would even allow him too? I'm pretty sure the spooks doing the evesdropping on us here wouldn't like to be exposed by a wacky conspiracy nut like me. Would ya? Yeah you know who I'm talking too.

I pray that I can turn some of them back into real Americans that'll defend this country instead of their corupt bosses in the "National Security State". Maybe I have, who knows right?

How about you, Don? What have you risked for this country lately? What have you done for these kids lately besides "honoring" their sacrifice to a god named mammon?

One more thing, Don. I abhor violence. Don't ever try to coerce me into it again like that. It isn't manly or honorable.

Okay, now I'm really done LE.

The plan to implement martial law in the United States is slowly falling into place. The sighting oftanks on the streets of St. Louis is another sign that America is entering a new and dangerous era of overt military rule.

Kurt Nimmo writes why this shocking development represents the greatest threat to American liberty in his article, "Media Dismisses Warning About Tyranny and Troops on the Street as Kooky Conspiracy Theory":
"The “training” conducted in St. Louis is yet another example of the state conditioning us to the presence of a standing army in our midst. It has little to do with al-Qaeda or phantom terrorists. It is, as Madison noted, an instrument of tyranny designed to enslave the people."
The military is "the most respected institution in America," said President Barack Obama. But expect the military's reputation to change for the worse now that it is officially occupying America and guarding the international banksters who have looted the country and deprived the American people of economic security.

In the past, one could argue that the U.S. military protected America from foreign despots, although the ghost of General Smedley Butler would strongly disagree. Today, however, it is clear that it is nothing more than a guard dog that is infected with a bad case of rabies. This sick dog must be put down, but instead it is being unleashed on the American people as the country unravels and devolves into a third world cesspool.

"For the most part," says former presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin, "the sentiments of our founders ring hollow to modern Americans who, ever since World War II, have glorified, idolized, and practically even worshipped the standing US military."

The fighting men of the U.S. military should be honored and glorified. But no respect should be shown to the cowardly and disgraceful traitors who lead this evil institution. They have betrayed their people, their country, and their forefathers, all the while pretending to be Americans in spirit. Their patriotism is skin-deep.

There is nothing to be proud about in being a soldier in uniform, especially in an imperial army. The German poet Heinrich von Kleist said that the military is, "a living monument to tyranny." He left the military because of a "moral obligation."

Soldiers who have a moral sense and a patriotic bone in their body are tortured souls. Some turn to drugs to heal the pain. But there are far too many souls within the U.S. military who are so brainwashed that they don't know they're working for cold-blooded mass murderers and psychopathic liars. And they take orders very well. When the Commander-in-Chief gives the order to enforce martial law, or to confiscate the guns of the American people, they'll answer like well-trained slaves: "Sir, yes sir!" Those three simple words are the cause of so much evil, tyranny, and misery in the world.

    CONTINUE . . .

Can anyone tell me what the suicide rate is amongst our soldiers today? Google it. Find out. Then come back here and tell me how we can claim to support them and yet would send more and more of them to the same fate because we are so afraid that some phantom terrorist will get us while we're sleeping if they don't dutifully go overseas and destroy more countries and kill more people who have never lifted a finger to harm this country. Nevermind that the terrorists are Washington and Wall Street's best friends. Trained funded and armed by the State Dept and the corporate funded NGO's and used as a club over over heads so that we'll eagerly give up our freedoms and accept even more immoral illegal wars, mass murder abd destruction that only benefit the .01%

C'mon let's hear how much we support the troops. We support them so much so that we'd see them take their own lives to get out the painful situation we expect them to endure for our sakes in ever increasing numbers just so we'll feel a little safer in our beds at night.

I got an idea and it's not going to go over big I'm sure. Let's really show some support for the troops. Let's show them the truth, but first let us learn the truth and quit deceiving ourselves and letting ourselves be deceived by the lying liars of the corporate mass media and the international warmongers it serves that have hijacked our government and our minds for so long now.

Let's live up to our calling as peace makers instead of being cheerleaders for more death and destruction. Let's bring our kids home and cherish them that's how we should be honoring our soldiers, not sending them off to die in foreign lands because we've lost what it means to be an American.

Poncho, take some time. Do an archive search of my posts, and see what I really have had to say on these subjects on this message board. Then consider this: Those government websites that you're insinuating are coming to this board to monitor you/us? I'd wager a month's pay that most of those government websites are actually participating BB members, taking a few "down-time" minutes. You're not going to get a list of government IPs that are actually monitoring this website.

Of course this website is monitored. Originally by Carnivore, and then by whatever replaced it; and currently, by whatever's replaced that. The Panopticon is real, and continues to grow. Anyone who doesn't know that isn't paying attention. But just because you don't see me posting a lot about it, doesn't mean there aren't those of us doing something about it. It just means we don't advertise--another tried and true military tactic, called "OPSEC."

That's all you needed to say, Poncho. You've proven my point. You'll use your American freedoms to complain loudly and obnoxiously--and do it standing in the river of blood that was shed by our forefathers, and people like Sapper, in order to make sure you and the rest of us can.

But you don't have enough courage of your convictions to shed your own.

    Yep, that's manly and honorable.

Yes, but the rebels in 1776 killed people wearing red coats because people in red coats were shooting at them. No one is shooting at me and the top dogs who might want to kill me live in Europe. Whom shall I shoot?

Well you know Don maybe I'm a little closer to it than you know. Maybe too close. Maybe that's why I'm so passionate about honoring them by telling them the truth. Their country will only support em when they can stand on their own two feet. When I first come here I was thick in the middle of defending veteran's rights. You got no idea how many veterans I did my level best to get proper care for from the country they served the country that still to this day swears up hill and down that we support our troops. And the same country that forgets them as soon as it's done with them.

Where's was all this wonderful support when the boys come home from Iraq with an unexplained illness that the government still denies? Where was it Don? I'll tell ya nowhere. Nobody cared about them. They were yesterdays warriors. No need to paid them any mind. Forget about em we got new warriors to support now.

Oh what a glorious war that first Iraqi excursion was. All the headlines read "only a couple hundred casualties!" No mention of the 200,000 that little war based on lies made sick and disabled.

Yeah we support our troops alright. So much so we rained down poison on them in Viet Nam. Then we denied they were sick!

That's how we support our troops. As long as they are able to stand up put on their uniform and shoulder a rifle we'll support em. Soon as they can't do all that they're fogotten.

Yeah that's how we support em. No, that's how you support em. I stood by em for years after they couldn't function. Where were you Don?

I am ashamed of the way this country treats it's veterans and I did something about it. I fought for them until I just wasn't able to do it anymore.

How about you Don? What have you done to help them? I worked for a non profit organization started by one those forgotten warriors for free right up to the day it closed because people only support today's warriors not yesterday's.

    Remember those days LE?

Most of the veterans I know and believe me when I tell you Don, I know alot all feel about the same way as me. It's one thing to say "I support the troops" it's another thing entirely to actually get your hands dirty doing it.

Here's another way we support our troops. We experiment on them without their knowledge. Yeah buddy! We use em for guinea pigs. That's how we support em. One thing people like you will never do and your posts show it is to honor them with the truth. And that truth is they are nothing more than disposable tools of the elite. "dumb stupid brutes to be used as pawns in foreign policy" Henry Kissinger. Google that quote if you think I'm just making it up.

Now Don. I'm going to forget you ever tried to entice me into even more useless violence for whatever sick reason you tried. You seem to have a thing about sending others to shed their blood. Wonder why that is?

There's no need for violence of any kind. All it would take is to say no! Tyrants and dictators are only dangerous because people like you empower them through obedience. Don.

Not only that Bill but by resorting to violence we'd be playing into their game.

That would give them all the excuse they need to crack down on us even more than they are. All the legal and logistical steps to declare martial law in the United States are already in place. All it would is the "order" no doubt our friend Don would support the troops while they disarmed us and tossed us in the concentration camps. Don being the good honorable citizen he is and all.

They hope that we'll be stupid enough to resort to violence. I pray we are not.

[SIZE=+0][SIZE=+0][SIZE=+0]Those are strong words, but I am afraid that they fit. We are ready to fight and die to clean up other nations calling it patriotism when our own nation, government, and military has become a cancerous puss pit of depravity that we now celebrate.

I wonder if the parable of the mote and the beam (Mt.7:3-5, Lk. 7:41-42) cannot be applied on a corporate/national level?

I don't think they're strong enough personally. I mean they aren't strong enough to wake Mr. Don Up. He's only to happy to make compromises with tyrants evidently. And he supports the troops that obey them and make it all possible!

Bow down and lick the boots of the foreign banks and corporations that have taken over this country and the military Mr. Don. You have earned the right after all. Wave and salute the troops on the streets as they train to protect the Satanic forces that rule over us now from you and your family.

Folks. Listen up, we're the enemy. You and your family, me and mine. We're the enemy. "oh we we have to nullify the constitution and bill of rights to protect you from "Al Qaeda". Al Qaeda is everywhere, under your bed, in your closet even your dog is Al Qaeda in disguise!"

Al Qaeda is going to get you if you want to keep the protection of Habeas Corpus and due process, give it up, give it up, give it up or Al Qaeda will get you!!! Obey the government! Obey! Obey! Obey!

Support the troops or you're with Al Qaeda! Support the troops or you're an enemy of the state! Support the military our you're a traitor!

In the meantime, the military is only to happy to rush off to unconstitutional illegal wars of aggression. One after another after another!

Support the military or you're crazy! Support the troops or you're nuts!

Wake up people. Al Qaeda is being coddled by the elite. Always has been.

We're arming the extremists in Syria. We're overthrowing secular governments and the murdering extremists are taking them over. We helped raise the black flag of Al Qaeda over Kosovo! Over Libya! And now we're busy working with Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups to hoist the black flag of Al Qaeda over Syria!

The "war on terror" is a hoax! Period! And it's all designed to destroy national soverignty and suck the souls out of any remaining independent nation state. And to destroy the constitution and bill of rights and bring this country down so the loving arms of a totalitarian world government can wrap around us all.

Support the troops who Obey Obey Obey the traitors that have sold us out and put us all in danger of another world war.

    Defend the military indeed.

What will it take to finally wake you people up?

You want to know what I've been doing? Since 1987, I've been working to help and protect those that can't or are unable to do so themselves. In 2000, we made sure people in northeastern Oklahoma didn't freeze to death when an ice storm took out power to the entire region for over a week. In 2005, we put tarps on roofs, and made sure people had food, water, and shelter. From 2007-2010, I was making sure those young military members you're talking about came home alive and unhurt. Throughout it all, I've talked to those young military members about things like their future, and how much they need Christ in their lives. And one of my goals is to get into a position to do exactly what you did, help the ones who return get as much of what their country promised them as possible.

I've made sure people had food when they haven't had enough. I've handed cases of water to people who have no home. I've let a man 10 years older than me unload about how he was having thoughts about killing his wife because the stress of our crisis situation was too much for him to bear; and made sure he got the professional help he needed. I've told my superiors "no" when they wanted to spend $10,000,000 on a computer system for people who wouldn't use it. In more than 24 years, I've done all this and more.

So yes, I'm gonna support and defend our troops, because I know what they do the other 90% of the time when they're not off fighting your alleged illegal wars.

But that's enough bragging about me. Poncho, what are you gonna do about it? Run for office and do your best to change the system? Stand on street corners and in public parks shouting about how bad the government is? Or continue to blow hot air on message boards that 95% (or more) of Americans don't even know exist?

What *exactly* are you gonna do about it? And what *exactly* do you want us to do about it? How *exactly* do you propose to change things?

How about standing up and give yourself a pat on the back as you now have your reward.

What reward would that be? Obamacare? If so, how do you figure it's a reward? Unless you're insinuating that military members support Obama simply by being in the military, and thus proposing that the military overthrow the president--but hey, Poncho says we shouldn't resort to violence. So you want to clarify what this derogatory statement is supposed to imply?

Let me ask: Who do you work for? A corporation? A local business? Self-employed?

It doesn't matter. If you work for any of those, you abide by the same governmental restrictions. In other words, you condone what this government does by the very fact that you receive a paycheck that's subject to that government's employment laws.

Not employed? Then how do you survive? By receiving a welfare or social security check? Then you're also guilty of benefiting from this same government.

If you're not employed, and you're not receiving a government subsidy check, then how do you afford a computer and internet? Are you using a public library? (in which case, you're still taking advantage of government laws, restrictions, etc.) Or are you stealing it from others?

Where are you living? Are you paying property taxes, which are also subject to the same governmental laws/restrictions/guidelines?

Someone asked about being able to apply the mote/beam in our eye concept to corporations and nations; we should always apply it to ourselves first.

So the same question applies to you, Free: What are YOU doing about it?
