Defining “Christian”

    How would you answer someone who wants to define any theism that wishes to use the name of Christ as having a legitimate claim to define themselves as Christians? Any pagan cult can call itself Christian and if one wants to get into calling it only orthodox Christianity well, the word orthodox means the correct worship or correct theology, so what if they say it is me saying I am correct against others who say they are correct? How would you approach this and make an understandable separation, and would you consider it a mistake to say “legitimate Christian” when someone wants to have some kind of universal definition?
