Yes!! I want fairness in the TV airways too!! I pay alot for cable and I want my fair share of decent shows back!! I am tired of paying for the <edited - LE> that is out there today!

I know you didn't mean it the way I took it, but the thought popped into my head and I wanted to release it... :)

    What are their reasons?

They'd best be careful who is around when they make those statements as I believe it is a federal offense to make such statements publically.

Rush and I agree....if it means that increasing abortions, socializing medicine, bailing out every major company from our tax dollars, kissing up to all Muslims, and other OBAMA ideas will flourish, I hope he fails too.

They already do. The talk is about limiting the conservative viewpoint.

I haven't watched Fox in quite a while, but they were typically more objective than the other stations when I watched them. Fox had a bent to be sure, but they were fair with other viewpoints, something that cannot be said for other networks (and which was admitted through studies).

But let's face it ... media is about demand. If liberal shows could attract listeners, they would be on the air. The truth is that few people want to listen to a liberal version of Rush. The audience simply isn't there. The "fairness doctrine" is akin to the bailout of failing companies. It is propping up those who cant' make it on their own. It should not be done. You are asking companies to lose money in order to satisfy liberals who can't make it without government help.

    That is wrong.

Oh waaaaaaa. The Democrats don't like it when anyone, let alone Rush, calls their candidate a blowhard.

    Open mouth, insert hook.

You bite on anything they offer.

They want him silenced. Put out of business. Permanently and completely.

Does anyone who voted for Obama feel differently about their vote? Times are changing for this wonderful country! We are more divided by an Obama administration than any other.

This petition is a HUGE RED FLAG!

With everything going on WHY do the democrats feel this is top priority? WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Would you be happy if Obama suceeds in bring the US out of recession, in creating jobs so we have fewer unemployed, and changes the health care system so more people are covered and have access to good health care? Just curious.

Ken are you sure you will not change, change, change your mind again? Your blind adoration is predictable but not alarming...

I have faith in you as a human bean

This is day 8, and the Iraq war seems to be forgotten. Obama is too busy trying to buy future votes, abort foreign babies, and silence talk radio.

    Glad yer home, Ken.

PBS and CNN would have a real problem. So would Al Jazeera. And yes, there are muslims in America who watch Al Jazeera.

While no one in Congress is currently pushing to restore the Fairness Doctrine, I have come to believe it would be a good thing. Radio and TV stations used to have to operate in the public interest as a public trustee, and offer a variety of views, since they are using a publicly-owned, limited resource...the radio spectrum.

As for a liberal version of Rush...the closest thing I know is Ed Schultz.

Liberal talk radio flops because it is so far out there. Examples:

    Jane Fonda's show
    Al Franken's show
    Air America.

Every time the left tries to come up with a counter version of Rush or Hannity or O'Reilly, they flop because the are too far left and most people don't want to listen to their nuttiness. No one I know would ever listen, but people I hang with are pretty much conservatives and Bible thumpers.
