When the Democrats make a promise..... the party worshipful know that it is only suggestions to sooth the opposition.

The Democrats don't care who they disenfranchise: They don't want the people to know what is in the bill. They are content with the persuation of rumor and fear and ignorance. They demand unquestionable allegiance among their own and will work to oppose, control and punish any who seem honest and sincere among their ranks who oppose them.

It matters not to them if bills are rushed through unread except by those in committee...... unread by most of them.... and drafted before hand by silent authors who find stoogies willing enough to accept their brief summaries and assurances and then sponsor.

Excellent tactic . When you have no substance, just call names. That always convinces thinking people.

What jobs bill? If there is one, start a thread on it. I would be interested in seeing what it is about. As we all know, this current bill isn't a jobs bill. It is a spending bill, and more and more economists are saying that it won't help.

Again, we are see major failures with Obama. Will he hold the Democrats accountable on this and stand up to Pelosi? Or will he show a lack of character and integrity and just roll over for her and her fellow Democrats.

A guy from Texas last night (can't remember who) was humiliating Pelosi on the floor by using her own words against her. Back in the past, she called deficit spending immoral Now she is passing one of hte largest deficit spending bills in history. She is immoral, by her own definition.

See on the Drudgereport that the pork bill needs to be rushed through, so that Madame Speaker Pelosi can catch a flight to Rome.

What are the dims afraid off, why not allow time for a thorough reading, vetting and debate of this bill. Will not any patriots in the democrat party stand up to their leadership and demand accountability.

I noticed the bill is in PDF format. That stops you from word recognition searches. I wonder why ?

Isn't PDF a common form? Especially for government docs.

No. They are usually word documents, and are typed that way. A PDF is a picture of each page. No searches can be done.

I find it impossible to believe that this was typed up on an old-fashioned machine. I am absolutely sure this was typed on a computer of some sort, & changed into PDF. You would only spend taxpayer money changing it to PDF to prevent it all from being read by the unwashed masses.

I'm glad you bring this up.

I have adobe/ PDF.... which is a free program. But aren't Word documents requireing the purchase or subscription to a program to open them? I know (my state is one) there are government documents available on the internet which I do not have access to because I don't own a program which will open them. Is there a free 'Word" program available on the internet whereby I could gain access to these docs?

Thank you...... and sorry for breaking topic to discuss this.

    Try openoffice.org

I know version 2.4 has a writer, and a draw, & other programs that mimic windows PC programs quite well.

I was listening to National Public Radio this morning. They said hat Obama had promised a 5 day review time for such difficult bills.

Even the anit-Republician, Democrat worshipping, NPR hosts were suprised with the rush to a vote.

We continue to hear about bipartisanship, while we see this arrogant attitude. Just another administration and congress that can not be trusted.

Well, he hasn't broken that promise on the Stimulas Bill yet. His actual promise was that he "will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days."

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...five-days-of-public-comment-before-signing-b/

So, after it passes through Congress he should give it 5 days before signing.

As have the Republicans and Democrats who crammed the 850 billion dollar bailout down our throats last year, and the money is nowhere to be found. There is not a dime's worth of difference between the two.

This bill should be defeated and the one last year repealed, and have the treasury get their money back.

Great, we get to read it AFTER is has passed.

After it has passed, it will make no difference what we have to say. He is going to sign it taking money from several generations.
But then, it doesn't matter what we say before is is voted on. Congress does that they want to. :tonofbricks:

Trying to get liberals to do anything pro-American is a seemingly waste of time. Their very nature is to operate is the shadows and darkness and then lie about it later. That is one of the reasons they seem to condone, by their votes, the murder of babies in womb. The liberal mind is sick and it is not really concerned about the people of this land, they are after power at all and any cost.
