    Similar devices back around the mid-1990's didn't work. Tried one myself; waste of money.

    Technology has increased; I noticed that it said you must sign up for call waiting for this to work.

    Went to Google (www.google.com), and punched in the words "emerson switchboard reviews"; got one site that rated it 1 star out of five, and found the following review that explains one or two of the details: http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/business/special_packages/techlife/4003882.htm

    Thanks, Don! Guess I'll have to do a bit more research before investing!
    Also I had not noticed the "call waiting" requirement. :mad: That's one modern technology I DO NOT WANT!!!!! :mad:
