    Guy's Night - Friday

    MOVIE: Apollo 13

FOOD: Stellar Salad, Lift-Off Powered Steaks, Out-of-This-World Baked Potatoes, Galactic Garlic Bread, All-American Apple Pie, and Tang.

This is our first "Dinner and a Movie" night with friends to our home. There is a short devotional that will follow the movie. Anyone else do things like this?

    Cute.

This can be a great time of fellowship.

I haven't in a while, but I like doing things like this.

It was a great time of fellowship for these men. I really had a good time and the devotional was amazing. March 28th the girls will be meeting to watch 13 Going on 30 and do their version of Dinner and a Movie. I'll be looking for a place to go that night to stay out of the way!!

We used to drink Tang all the time growing up.

    Why, I don't know.

Tang has less sugar than most juices and other drink mixes. With no artificial sweeteners.
It also has vitamins that other drink mixes don't have.

Because of this (I know you're just joking webdog! :wavey: ) I wanted more opinions and to hear from those who really think this way. So I started a thread int he General Forum. Hope that's ok, and doesn't violate some rule.

I think it's a great idea Joshua. Years ago, my husband and I belonged to a Tri-M group (Mr. Mrs. Mz.) and we routinely met for social, fellowship, meals, games, devotionals, etc. once a month. I fondly recall those years and wonder why more churches don't do that sort of thing anymore. (Course it takes a dedicated organizer/leaders, but the results are sure worth it!). We still have friends who recall with affection, those wonderful years and the long-lasting friendships that were started in this group and still continue to this day - more than 30 years later. It's a great way to minister to each other and newcomers who may want to get involved, but don't want to jump right into heavy-duty responsibilities.

Okay, I will ask: Why a movie?

And why "13 Going On 30," which is billed as "Rated PG-13 for some sexual content and brief drug references"?
