The black lives matter crowd protested the police killing of a black man who pointed a gun at them.

Hint: the officer who shot and killed him was a black female. Her partner, a white male rookie was the one who had the gun pointed in his face.

Officers responded to a 911 complaint, a woman said a man with a gun threatened to kill her.

He was shot and killed by a black female officer. Nevertheless, the black lives matter crowd protested.
This tells me that they are anti-police. Hmm, if Quandavier had shot the black cop, you suppose the black lives matter crowd in Cincy would have protested?

You are right .... you can say anything you want! But that don't make it so! Those who break laws and defy the laws of this land are in fact thugs, and it doesn't matter what the color of their skin may be! However, your calling cops terrorists is the same as you calling yourself a Big Mac just because you were in a McDonald's! Well, Big Mac, maybe today you can call yourself a large fry. :wavey:

The analogy fails on oh-so-many levels.

Cancer doesn't care what color your skin is.

Cancers actually come in different types, requiring different types of treatment. To make this analogy, one would have to argue that different skin colors demand different treatment; which demands racism.

People already argue for ALL cancer awareness.

And there are more, but I think that makes the point.

The analogy works on so many levels. You just fail to comprehend.

Cancer doesn't have to care what color your skin is as the analogy had nothing to do with skin color, but rather the fact that some of you try to marginalize black people saying that Black lives matter by saying that ALL LIVES MATTER. But you don't try to marginalize the fight against breast cancer by saying that ALL CANCER AWARENESS.

Where are the white people running around saying that there should be ALL CANCER AWARENESS?

    Don't act daft.

Just like you running off at the lip doesn't make the majority of the foolishness you type so.

    Be gone with a quickness.

Yep. You ever hear the American Cancer Society come out and say that ALL CANCER AWARENESS when the Susan G. Komen organization says Breast Cancer Awareness?

Of course you don't because they've got sense enough to know that the Susan G. Komen organization already believes in ALL CANCER AWARENESS but that they have chosen to focus on Breast Cancer Awareness because of the personal impact it had on Susan G. Komen.

The only reason some white people are saying ALL LIVES MATTER in response to BLACK LIVES MATTER is because some of you are just racially prejudiced and wicked to the core when it comes to black people.

The Breast Cancer Analogy is on point and highlights the vitriol in the hearts of some white people against Blacks.

And yes, that list includes YOU.

But there are groups of people arguing for research and treatment of particular cancers. There is "Breast Cancer Awareness" and "Thyroid Cancer Awareness", and "Lymphoma Cancer Awareness". Recently I heard of a "Melanoma Monday". Really? That was a new one on me.

For an entire month (November?) the NFL players wear pink. Pink shoes, pink receiver's gloves, etc. On a day in May all the Major League baseball players use pink bats. That is definitely singling out one type of cancer. Or if you like, discriminating against other cancers.

If people are already arguing for ALL cancer awareness why break them out into particular segments? Why do some cancers get more publicity than others?

Beautiful. Again illustrating why the cancer analogy was perfect.

It begs the question why the OPoster and so many others have a problem with Black people expressing that Black Lives Matter?

And I believe it also demonstrates a propensity of some white people to always try to marginalize, innocently or not, the lives of anyone except other white people.

"Black Lives Matter" is fine. The problem is that many black people in this country don't really act as though they believe it.

If black parents believed it they would be keeping their children in after dark and encouraging them to study instead of allowing them to run the streets.

Black parents would be telling their children to respect all adults, especially adults in authority such as police and school authorities.

Black parents would be teaching their children to respect the property of others.

Black parents would be teaching their children to respect females.

Black parents would not allow their children to listen to music that disrespects women and praises the gangster lifestyle.

    Need I go on?

As it stands it seems that "black lives matter" is just a slogan...

Like cheering for your local sports team without investing anything real into it.

Nope. There's been 200+ years of the folks who orchestrated the problem telling Blacks what they should do. There's been 200+ years of white folks who who think they have either the moral or factual basis to lecture black folks about these so-called pathologies in the black community, while ignoring the "social rot" taking place in the white communities.

I'll let Mr. Tim Wise address your white-privileged, moral superiority.

    To be continued

As it stands it seems as that the "ALL LIVES MATTER" is just a racially prejudiced retort from folks who clearly don't think ALL LIVES MATTER.

Thus Zaac shows that "black lives matter" is just a slogan for him too.
