Here is a Biblical condemnation of the modern version movement:

Revelation 22:18,19 (AV1611) - "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

The modern version movement no longer has a twoedged sword:

Hebrews 4:12 (AV1611) - "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Whatever happened to the pure words of God? They were lost in the modern version movement!

Proverbs 30:5 (AV1611) - "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."

One more for the road. The modern version movement has corrupted the word of God by handling it in a deceitful manner.

2 Corinthians 2:17 (AV1611) - "For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ."

2 Corinthians 4:2 (AV1611) - "But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God."
