Never touch the stuff, but that is me, and I have personal reasons for abstaining. I don't think it is rejected by scripture, but your witness for God and the gospel may be affected.

    Cheers, bless,

    Jim

Ah, the answer would be the Holy Spirit. Now please tell us the Holy Spirit also cannot use alcohol as a means to His work...there is that whole turning water into the best wine thingy (well aged welches, I'm sure)

Its comical you take a special circumstance and apply it to everyone. Using your logic everyone would be saved by being blinded and falling off a horse while seeing Christ. You never fail to dissapoint.

I just view you as a flaming religious fanatic...just do me a big favor and not converse with me & I will do the same with you.

Let's give 'im a hand folks. :applause:

And since we're on that "trip," why not some LSD for visions and dreams?

    Sorry You Feel That Way............

......But OK:tear:....for the record...I'm just a born again believer who wants to live the remainder of this earthly life in a way that is pleasing and useful to my Lord. I have no desire to be intentionally or even accidently offensive to you or anyone else. If that earns me the label "flaming religious fanatic" from other "religious" people....I think I can live with that. I would expect that kind of thing from without the "church"...but it is really sad when it comes from within the professing "church". I will honor your request after this post and respond to no further of your posts unless you make a specific request for a response....OR....unless you make a comment on something I have said in one of MY posts. Fair enough. I pray God will bless and use you somehow and someway for His glory and wish you well.

    This is a shame....

....but Brother Greg, like my mama would often say, you can't lose something that never was something in the first place. EWF has always been poignant and judgmental toward others, and those kinds of personalities often takes offence when they are questioned into a corner they can't get out of.

In short, you have lost nothing that would have value to your walk with Jesus. My feelings are that EWF is over reacting, and will apologize once he cools down and sees how inappropriate his comment was. He really is a great brother; you just stepped a little too hard on the over exposed toe... :wavey:

    <-- Smiley Face

I'll agree with anyone here who sticks up for someone else who has had their character unjustly insulted.

I have a little bit of experience with this sort of conversation dating to "back in the day". If this conversation was taking place somewhere near Mahogany Ridge (that's a figure of speech for BAR) the next step would be a good old fashioned whooping out in the parking lot.

Funny thing about bar fights is that they settle nothing and foster deep rooted anger - you know the kind that lasts well after the igniting event is long forgotten. When the fight is over the casual observer shrugs and returns to the Ridge.

The only advantage to dusting it up online is that nothing gets broken and the cops don't have to come. :BangHead:

 I am reminded of a story about Winston Churchill.

Goes like this.....WC meets a woman named Bessie at a social function & the conversation was animated.....

    Funny Quotes by Winston Churchill

Bessie Braddock: "Winston, you are drunk, and what's more, you are disgustingly drunk."
Churchill: "Bessie, my dear, you are ugly, and what's more, you are disgustingly ugly. But tomorrow I shall be sober and you will still be disgustingly ugly."
    :applause:

So Salzer, my answer to you might reflect dear Winston's, only I would substitute the word 'Ugly' with 'Schmuck-ish'. :tongue3:

    Quite Impressive....

...the number of people who responded, honestly, blew me away. I'm not sure what this oll shows, but, it does show that alcohol is not as big a taboo as it used to be when the church held revivals to pour the liqour in the local rivers.

    Thanks to all of you,
    for participating! :applause:
