God removed that option to have the saint saved by God live in a state of habitual sinning, as the new nature will not allow for that!

Can sin, can even sin for a season, but NOT do it without any conviction/remorse etc, and the truely saved get back to God!

    .

Which way do you want it E7??

    OR

You can't have it both ways! As you can see, even versions other than the KJV destroy your argument!

As one can see, (A) is the word of God and thus "correct". (B) is the word of E7 which contradicts (A) the Word of God.

After all of these months, el Steavador still does not understand my position.
    Nevertheless, 'tis a nice cigar.

God's elect will eventually cease to continue in habitual unrepentant sin.
(They respond to God's many warnings and threats.)

Everyone else (including some BACs) will not cease to continue in habitual unrepentant sin.

Dis is the dividing line between the two.

1John3:9 Doesn't work out for your doctrine...

    1John3:9 - "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God".

    (A) "Whosoever" - is ALL inclusive of ALL "born of God".

    (B) The born of God "cannot sin" - there is no choice given in the matter.

    (C) "for his seed (Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit) remaineth in him" - is the reason he (the born of God) cannot sin.

Your argument against OSAS is destroyed in just this one verse of scripture, let alone the dozens of others throughout the bible. Please repent of the dead works and trust in Jesus Christ alone and His works alone!!

Your entire denomination and its doctrine is debunked by Scripture. Eternal security and your disagreement with the Biblical truth is just a small part of your error.

There was several years ago a thread called "The 24 Hour Sinless Day." I do not remember who started it, but by the end of the thread, he had been destroyed. The fact we sin everyday by thought, deed, or motive, or omission only leaves eternal security. The argument that this leads one to live any type of life style is ridiculous. With Christ, we are a new Creation, our pattern of life changes. That does not mean glorification on earth. One who continues to lead the same life style is not saved in the first place.

The ones against eternal security have never explained at what point one loses their salvation. Is it the first thought, second deed, or third motive? How does one regain salvation? Say another prayer? Walk another aisle? Hang Christ on the cross again? How is one ever settled in their mind, not knowing when they are going to die, and not really sure when they will sin, if they know which sin takes them over the line? What a pathetic way to live, and what a milquetoast approach to the Bible and God. They must love the game of Russian roulette.

Tell me, what aspect of your human nature was born again? Was it your body? Jesus said it is your "spirit" - Jn. 3:6 - not your flesh! Paul said what was born again was "created in righteousness and TRUE HOLINESS" (Eph. 4:24; Col. 3:10). Tell me, does "true holiness" contain sin? Is not God "true holiness" does His Person include sin?

John is saying what he means! That aspect of human nature which is "born again" CANNOT SIN because it is "born of God" and what is born of God cannot sin because it is CREATED in righteousness and TRUE HOLINESS. It is this born again, sinless spirit that provides the holy tabernacle for the Holy Spirit to dwell within you and so our spirit bears witness with His Spirit that we are the children of God.

Your body and soul have not been born of God. Your body will be glorified - sin removed at the resurrection. Your soul is being PROGRESSIVELY CLEANSED but has not been "born of God."

That is why salvation is found in three tenses (saved, being saved, shall be saved) and soteriology is found in three major divisions (regeneration, sanctification, glorification) becasue you are made in the threefold image of God - spirit, soul and body (1 Thes. 5:23) and the Word of God can distinguish between spirit and soul in your immaterial self as much as it can discern between bone and morrow in your material self (Heb. 4:12).

The new birth obtains entrance into heaven. Glorification obtains fitness for entrance into heaven and the saints are glorified BEFORE they stand before Christ as they are glorified IN THE RESURRECTION. Thus they obtain entrance and fitness for heaven as a gift before they stand in judgment for REWARDS in heaven.

Your whole doctrine of falling away from salvation confuses scriptures that deal with salvation as a gift versus the daily expression of good and bad works that determine the loss or salvation of our time, rewards, blessings, usefulness, joy and service along with scriptures that expose false professors. Hence, you take two types of scriptures where false professors are exposed and/or where the loss or salvation of the daily life is being discussed and confuse it with scriptures that deal with the security of heaven due to new birth and glorification.

The absolute proof is that judgement of our works FOLLOWS the complete glorification of our bodies making us ALREADY FIT for entrance into heaven and thus judgment of Christians have NOTHING to do with their entrance into heaven as clearly stated by Paul in 1 Cor. 3:11-15.

John/peter/paul ALL stated to us though that the really saved CANNOT/WILLNOT persisit in contunual/habitual sin, for that is against their new natures and the Spirit in them now, so can sin for a reason, but will ALWAYS find way back to God!

which part of your Body is forever lost when you forfeit salvation then?

jesus died and purchased your body back, to be glorified, and you have the Holy spirit forever sealed in you, so we would be a body, with the Spirit, but no mind or soul?
