If you are talking about water baptism, then the answer is no. Here is one scripture:
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Now water baptism is a work. If it is essential for salvation than that voids out Eph. 2:8,9.

Baptism is not needed for salvation, but for obedience and a public testimony of salvation.

    Not required. Romans 10:9,10 -
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The funny thing is before I became a Christian, I thought each denomination had there own way to heaven, even BAPTISTS (baptism).......... But now I realize that the Word of God is the only truth, not denominations.

    Not required.

    John 3:16
"... that whoever believes in Him..."
    NOT
"...that whoever believes and is baptized..."

At least 99 times in the Gospel of John, most from Christ's mouth, the only requirement for salvation is the belief in Him.

    Luke 22:39-43 (KJV):

39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

This example is the old, cliched response to this question- but the thief on the cross had no opportunity to get baptized, if baptism is required for salvation.

I used to worry about that as my brother and I weren't baptized and I thought that was the only way to get to Heaven. Of course, I know better now (I did get baptized last year though).

We ARE baptized by the Spirit into the body of Christ. Without ThAT baptism, we are not part of Christ!

Of course, I agree with my colleagues here on the absolutely LACK of necessity for water baptism as any part of salvation.

Plenty of Verses in scripture requiring Baptism for Salvation!

But Dr. Bob is right, they are all speaking of Spirit Baptism, which is concurrent with Salvation

Water Baptism is not required for Salvation, the above verses are more than proof enough. This is just an amen.

Water Baptism is not required for Salvation and I agree with the above verses and I like what Donna said:

    I would add Water Baptism.
