No, they are not heretics. That is a pretty harsh word to throw around. It has a high level of error to be present to accept the label. None of the guys you are listing meet those qualifications. You may not like the teachers, but they're not heretics.

no they are not heretics. A heretic is someone who is misguided. These guys that you mentioned know exactly what they are doing & they are doing it for the money.....they prey on the gullible & the stupid & they are getting rich in the process.

 

I am too busy watching my own life and theology to be overly concerned about others.

I dont know for certain, but I think Osteen may be saved, but just very immature in the faith. I have heard him say that Jesus is the only way to God, and confirm other essentials. However he is immature i the faith and is a false teacher in this regard. But I dont consider him a heretic, unless I missed something. He is very ignorant of the Mormon doctrine no question about that.

They are false teachers and will receive their reward.

 

I am trying to figure out what is wrong with you. You remind me of the guy who walked around picking his nose in public all the time. Every once in a while someone would say something to him and It bothered everyone he met but no one wanted to deal with him on it so they said nothing. And he thought that just because only a few said anything it wasn't a big deal.

Osteen is not a heretic but definitely a bad teacher.

Bell denies a literal wrath of God and says hell is the life we live where people are hungry and suffering now. Bell is a heretic.

I understand the resistance to suggest someone is a heretic. But there is still the scriptural admonition to beware of them. In order to beware of them they first must be recognized and then identified. We should not ignore scripture just because some misuse it.

Those are your opinions, and not fact, as no one knows their state of salvation. Do you have a salvation detector that you can point at someone and get an instant reading? That must really be a neat device.

Here is a point you missed. You must have spent lots of your time listening to these clowns to come up with such an exact label for each. That is time that God gave you as a gift that could have been put to much better use, like working in your local church to spread the Gospel.

These guys are not just doing this isolated in a local assembly. They are out their nationally spewing their godless diatribes to mislead people. They need to be called out nationally and their teaching shown for what they are.

Jesus said you shall know them by their fruits. We can know their condition.

 

This is a discussion board that requires a minimal level of knowledge. One listens to them, and it does not take long, maybe one session, two at the most, to figure out they are not edifying or speaking in line with Scripture. At that point you put your hand on the off switch, and forget them. You do not keep going back again and again to confirm your suspicisions.
