Now, That is a Great Answer!

Thanks for making my day. I had to chuckle with the image of a gun being held to your in an effort to make you watch TBN. Some of those, who have already responded, may consider taking a bullet first.

Not on our cable system. Thankfully.

We do have BYU network with LOTS of excellent programming, to say nothing of top-drawer musical offerings.

And never, ever ask for a penny on any show. Direct or subtle. Never.

    That is Interesting....

....to know the BYU network doesn't promote Moronism is interesting. I am a little surprised, but, impressed with their restraint! Thanks for the info.

OH< I wasn't commenting specifically about the photo... I think I made comments like that before the photo was posted...

It's their whole persona... not just about looks.. they act like clowns presenting the Gospel, commanding their Jenie (God) to perform for them.

I have always called TBN the comedy channel.. for about 15 yrs now!...
And the comment about Pepto bismol colored hair can be attributed to Craig Groeshell in one of his books..

    Sure?

If you can live with this explanation, TT, then so be it!

Well, here is a quote I made about TBN back in 2009... http://www.baptistboard.com/showpost.php?p=1398739&postcount=8

Here is one I posted from 2007...

Another post where I called them clowns from 2006

So you can see Righteousdude that I can live with my statement saying I called them clowns before someone posted a pic on this thread because I just proved I called them that...

And I refuse to retract it. Because Paul and Jan Crouch leads a network of clowns... from Creflo Dollar saying that Jesus was rich to Jan Crouch that looks like the Whore of Babylon!... YES I said that.. she is a clown and a disgrace to the name of Christian. Lifting up her "Holy Hands".. hogwash...

And if you can defend them, I feel sorry for you.

    I'm Certainly NOT Defending Them...

....I'm just calling into question your public witness as a member of this board. To write them, privately, and call them a name is one thing. To make statements like these on a forum that may place the rest of us in a bad light with other Christians, who dial in order to see what this board is all about, IS ANOTHER!

I should think that you want to be part of making this board something that no one can think ill towards, and your kinds of comments are the worst reflection of what being a Baptist is all about. :tear:

You don't owe me an apology, TT, you owe all the outstanding members of this forum and board an apology.

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

So it's a really, really bad thing to make hilarious comments about the laughingstock of American Christianity, but it's okay to call people you believe don't know Jesus followers of "Moranism?"

Just plain, as Dr. Walter would say, "rediculous."

Or maybe you just messed up the typing. Maybe that's it.

    Thanks For Pointing that Out.

....you are most correct in stating that I made an error in spelling. It was unintentional, and my bad. No excuse for it. I meant Mormonism, and not the other other. My humble apology, and know that I stand totally embarrassed with this mistake!

You are right in pointing this out. To say that would be hypocritical on my behalf, and that wasn't my intent.

I hope you can forgive me for my mistake! :praying:

    And BTW...

...You may or may not be correct (depends on who you ask) about TBN being the laughingstock of American Christianity. Again, that is your opinion. To them, maybe the BB forum is the scourge of American Christianity.

It would a blessing if all of us would simply quit putting down others who claim to love Jesus (and just put our efforts into getting the lost saved). I am quite sure that in heaven, you and I will be sharing space with many of those who followed TBN, and practiced the kind of Christianity that you find to be spiritually contemptible and a laughingstock of the Jesus we love and serve.

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:
