Revelation 20 dictates against a second chance. For all are cast into the Lake of Fire, which is the second death.

Cannot imagine universalism, although if possible I would see everyone regenerated, given repentance and faith, and with me in heaven.

    Wouldn't you?

And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement. Hbr. 9:27
Just can't see any room here, the rich man and Lazarus, or anywhere else in scripture for a second chance.
On that board that you gave us a link to Alastair said it best:
"The doctrine of Purgatory and intercession for the dead is a fabrication of the RC church."

which one of these statements are false?

    God cannot lie (heb 6:18)
God desires all men to be saved (1 tit 2:4)

can we actually believe an infinite perfect God loves you or me more than anyone else?.

wouldnt it sound rather arrogant if we were to believe such a thought without proof?

IMO, the question is meaningless. Nobody gets a first chance, let alone a second. We are chosen, and "opportunity" or "chance" has nothing to do with it.

death is a state of being, not a destination.

we are in born in death. we were spiritually born in it. yet until we recognize its existence. were in neutral. man must recognize that he is Spiritually "dead" before the judgement begins.

when does recognition begin. when the recognition of the law takes place!
and not 1 second before....whether in this "life" of the next age or even the next age after that one...

1Co 15:21 For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
1Co 15:24 Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

its becoming clear. we are christs firstfruits in his much larger harvest of every creature.

so as for me, After our physical death, or possibly if we are still alive. someday the teaching of all men and women will begin.

Just as we have been trained of the Holy spirit and have had the opportunity to make choices concerning good and evil. and understanding the nature of being "in christ". so will every man woman and child created by a God who IS LOVE.

we are all equally loved in Gods Heart.

one man delivers Gods creation into death. and through the work (jesus) that reconciles man to his God. We journey into the works of "dying to self" as Gods method of Growth within this image that God Calls being "In Christ".

As Christ delivers us AS INDIVIDUALS INTO LIFE FROM DEATH. Christ is "in us". We are HIS BODY. its our new job to assist those "in death, into life". and inso doing we discover we must die to our own self serving agendas and methods and follow Gods instructions to help them through their own transition.

is this occurring today. somewhat. yet the bride or body of christ is being trained themselves today. when the body has been prepared. then their job within Gods creation begins.and it is the bodies responsibility (even their inheritance) until all have come into Gods kingdom.

until all have reached equality "in christ".
until all have reached the full acknowledgement of realizing they are created in the image of man/God (christ) as first intended in Genesis that mankind become..

God has created his body of high priests (the bride) and he also has prepared his creation of sinners that must be reconciled back into this "image" called Christ.

this has always been His plan. All are chosen eventually. yet it is God loving his creation through man. the bride is being taught today. the kingdom is taught in following ages to come.

the term death is a process. as is the term judgment. judgement comes to us in the form of teaching truth from error. the seperation and comprehension of the knowledge of Good from Knowledge of Evil.

where everybody wins. and nobody loses.

isnt that infinite mercy. a perfect creation.

So I guess the answer is yes. every creature will have the same opportunities that we have today. to Grow and learn who they are as individuals "in christ". we today must hold onto some things we cant comprehend but must trust God is accomplishing . He is infinite Love. and He has died for all sins of Every human being born on this planet.
It is mans nearsightedness that cant recognize the infinite mercy that God has shown us. even through dying for us and not for us only!..

But For All of His creation.

I think the 4,327 chances I had in this life were enough. Besides, what chance is there to exercise FAITH when you are now SEEING the reality.

Let's see the apostles saw Jesus's miracles and walked with Him. The apostle Paul was knocked flat out down by His vision of the Lord. I don't see where their seeing the reality disqualified them from entering Heaven. [IMG]
