Does anybody else remember...

    Just out of curiousity, does anybody else here remember a show on the Nashville Network called I 40 Paradise?

    It was really awful, but I liked it.

    :laugh:No dear, but I have a stupid commercial winding itself in my head....from Australia in the 1970s for an underarm deoderant in a spraycan (cutting edge stuff!). It went like this....

    You need Uncle Sam, you need Uncle Sam
    ....dum de dum dum
    etc
    in a red white and blue can:laugh::tongue3::smilewinkgrin:

    The ironic thing is that many people here in the states would consider that offensive. But if only they knew the origins of the "Uncle Sam" character, they might think that sweaty armpits are too good for him.

    You're just a young'un. This show was on in the early-mid 80's.

    I don't personally remember the show probably because it aired at a time when I had little access to a TV. However, Wikipedia [not always a totally reliable source for a lot of things] does have an article about that program and some of the people that were featured on it.

    That explains it. I was watching Mr. Rogers and Sesame street and the Dukes of Hazard back then.
