Just today, W said the following in regards to Christianity and Muslims:

"I do say that freedom is the Almighty's gift to every person," Bush answered. "I also condition it by saying freedom is not America's gift to the world. It's much greater than that, of course. And I believe we worship the same God."

So, he worships the same god as the muslims. That is idolatry. That is denying Christ (who is God who they deny). That is cowering down to political pressure.

I wonder why radio bufoons like Janet Parshall never mentions this stuff. Actually, I don't.

Someone told me that the Koran contains the story that Allah created Adam and Eve and has the Moses saga too. Is that true?

He's adamantly professed that Jesus Christ is his personal Lord and Savior.

He can be a screw up in office until he's blue in the face. That doesn't change the fact that, if he's accepted Christ as his Savior, he's saved. FOr us to judge his salvific state is unbiblical. I'm sure we'd all like to (I know I want to a lot), but we're forbidden.

I have heard his testimony and would give great credance to it.

He IS a politician, remember. But I see more "real faith" in him than I did in Jimmy Carter who was also very open in expressing his faith.

(BTW, Jimmy Carter has done MORE since he left the Presidency, don't you think?)

Romans 10:9 (PMV = pesky modern version):

    If thou shalt confess that
Jesus is Lord and believe in thine
    heart that God hath raised
him from the dead and serve as
    president to David Daniel's specifications,
    then thou shalt be saved.

I would not question President Bushs' salvation anymore than I would want someone questioning mine.

We all make mistakes and we all sin, that doesn't mean we're not saved.

Most of our mistakes and sins are in private and hidden. The President's mistakes and sins are all out in the open in front of the public.

Christians are not perfect, just forgiven...

Yes, I believe the Commander-in-Chief is a saved man---just because he makes a comment like that doesn't make him "Not Saved"---you can't be "Not Saved" just because you're wrong on a broad statement like that!

I found this article---be sure to read what Richard Land has to say about our Commander-in-Chief-----that he is "Commander-in-Chief and not Theologian-in-Chief"

Of course, here is what the Lord Jesus Christ has to say concerning the very same issue--He who denies the Son, denies the Father!

Matthew 10: 32-33, "Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess before My Father which is in Heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in Heaven."

How unbelievable. It isn't that he has become "unsaved". He never had saving faith because he equates the God of the christian with the god of the muslims.

MUSLIMS DENY THAT CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS AND ROSE AGAIN.

His faith is skewed and misguided. This has nothing to do with the ability to read a heart. This has everything to do with understanding biblical soteriology. I am saddened that the IFBs on this board have said what they did so far.

If it is just words we have then then we are in real trouble. Hitler claimed to be a christian but was not. I have heard Clinton and Hillary both say they are Christians, but what have they done to show it. You can claim to be a christian but you words and your works will testify that fact.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

God help us all to let our walk match our talk.

It's absolutely ridiculous to question a persons salvation, based on a comment he made. Is he saved, God knows. On the same point ,I believe you can tell a lot about a person by who there enemies are. Who is against our( in my own humble opinion, very good ) President? Lets see, the ACLU (anti,Christian liberals union )all the pro abortion groups, all the pro homosexual groups, the list of wacko's who are against our president is a long one, so if I were to judge him only by that standard, he has my vote. We should really be carefull about speculating on a professed believers salvation, that is between him and the Lord. Lord knows that Ive made some comments in the past that didnt take me long to realize "that was stupid". But please remember this, our president is human just like all of us. Please pray for him that he seek the will of the Lord in all decisions that he makes in regard to our country.

Don't get me wrong, I voted for him becuase the ideals he has pushed for are generally what I would have wanted.

If a preacher says that Christians and muslims were on the same side worshipping the same god, I would expect certain people to be up in arms over it. If this president says it though, it is wrong to question his salvation. Please.

Yes Daniel it is still wrong to question anothers salvation. Why would he have made such a comment? Maybe because Muslims do use the first (i believe ) 5 books of our old testament. My guess is that this would be the reason for his comment. And remember the state of the world right now, the man is obviously trying to find some common ground to try and quell the religious violence that is taking so many lives. Do I believe that the president was right in his comment? NO! The god of islam is definetely not the God of Christanity. Do I think it makes a man never before saved if he makes a comment that he is wrong about? NO NO NO! Good grief, as Charie Brown would say.

It is NOT wrong to question his salvation.

He has said that the God of the Christians is the same as the god of the muslims. So to him, the god he worships is the same as that of the muslims. Do you see, that is a denial of Christ, as the muslims reject Christ as god. Further, their concept of God is extremely skewed. It would be equally offensive if he said that it is the same god of the jews. It isn't.

Muslims and Jews are antichrist because they reject that (the) Christ came in the flesh. That is blaspheme and idolatry.

Jesus Christ equated himself equal with God, and if we have the wrong view of Christ, we have the wrong view of God...the reverse is also true.

How then can one be a believer if that belief is in the wrong God, and their Jesus is a mere prophet and a lesser prophet at that.

Sorry, many presidents have claimed Christianity, few have demonstrated it. I shall leave the whole matter in God's hand and their conscience.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Then I guess Jews also don't worship the same God as we do. See how this is a false arguement? Whether I believe the Jews or Muslims believe in the same God that I do, or they don't, is irrelevant to me accepting Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Same goes for Bush, Carter, Reagan, or anyone else whose ever been in the oval office.
