For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel !

As we look on, what about the Lord Jesus when He said regarding Nathanael per Jn 1:47

47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

What did Christ mean ? Of a Truth He meant something more than just a physical descendant of Abraham, It was thus a differential being made as when He says in Jn 8:31

    31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

indeed is the greek adverb alēthōs:

truly, of a truth, in reality, most certainly

So indeed meant, that if they continued to follow in His word, then in reality they proved themselves believers or His truly His disciples.

So in like fashion when He affirmed that Nathanael was a Israelite indeed, He meant that in reality he was a True Son of Abraham, a man of Faith see Gal 3:7 and Rom 4:16 and also to help us understand the words " in whom is no guile" gives us to realize that a saved and spiritual man is in view Ps 32:2

2Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Note: An Israelite indeed is a man whom God has not imputed iniquity unto !

I believe Nathanael was a man who was also viewed with the imputed righteousness of Christ, of which its said of Him 1 Pet 2:22

22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Thats a True Israelite, one whom God See's clothed in His Son's Righteousness, Who alone is worthy to be called Israel..

    Rom 4:6,9-11

6Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Is this blessedness only for jews or the circumcision ? Rom 4:

9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

    No sir vs 10-11

10How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

11And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

All who have this imputed righteousness are Israelites indeed regardless of their ethnicity..
