A woman walking into an abortion clinic to kill her own baby is not at war, she is just evil.

My grandfather commited suicide and I used to think that suicide was the most selfish act a person could commit.....but its not. Killing your own bay so you can go on living in the manner you want to is the most selfish act imaginable.

Supporting the "right" to be selfish in this instance is just as evil as doing it yourself.

I don't support state mandated prayers in public schools. Does that make me satanic?

Not at all. But we would most likely disagree on what "State Mandated" means.

I don't believe that religion has any role to play in public schools. None, zero, zich, nil, nada.

No surprise there. But anyway, it's off topic.

Back in the "old days" when religion and biblical morals did play a role in the schools, we didnt have mass shootings, gang rapes, or drugs.

    Me myself...i'd prefer the religion.

This is on topic as it was in the OP. So who chooses the prayers that Satan opposes? The local Baptist church? The local Catholic Church? The local mosque? Or our friend Big Brother government?

It is ridiculous to say that Satan supports a particular political party. Any such statement is completely idiotic.

It is not a matter of group worship, but the right to pray as individuals.

I resent the fact that the school system denies any talk about God, but tries to teach our kids in the first grade with books like "Heather Has Two Mommies".

They say it is wrong to teach morality because morality is bordering on religion and is relative to the individual. In other words, what is moral for you may not be moral for me.....but......they have no problem teaching homosexuality as an acceptable alternative lifestyle. This is garbage.

And this does pertain to the OP because this is exactly the kind of garbage that one of the political parties promotes.

And I am certain that Satan is jumping for joy over it.

A great deal of this thread has been border-line off topic, what is one more post to lump in there?

I have lurked in this thread since it started and I have to say I am curious about the question CK4 posed.

People seem to be of the thinking that the Democrats are the party of death since they support abortion, and yet the Republicans have not stopped abortions.

So, how is it really, honestly any different?

Why does the GOP get a free ticket when they could have and should have by what they say they believe in, stopped abortion?

We all know that Row vers Wade will never be overturned, to stop abortion it will take a grass roots, all out "war" of people against abortion to get results. Siding with a party that says they are against it but doesn't stop it is a waste of time in my opinion. It's time for us to stand behind a 3rd party that will get us the results we want.

I guess I really don't understand why you guys seem to give the GOP a free pass on this... Why can't CK4 question be answered?

Do you know of a school system where a child is forbidden to pray over their own lunch? Does the Democratic platform support such a rule?

BTW - we are on topic because the OP was not just about abortion, but several things that Satan might support in a political party.

The DIFFERENCE if you read my post, is that the Democratic Party has made it an official part of their platform to support Roe v Wade. Here, I'll make my signature larger so it can be read by all:

    http://tinyurl.com/69q8jq

So it can logically be concluded that the Democratic Party is the party of death. The Republican Platform, OTOH, says this:

    Apologies - no edit

Anyone can pray any time, anywhere. No government can stop a person from doing so. Prayers do not have to be uttered out loud to count, you know.

Denying that voting for a person that promotes abortion and gay rights is in fact condoning those issues is idiotic.

And yes, I believe with all of my being that Satan has a preference, and that his preference is the party that supports the immorality.

A very good case can be made that under the leadership of George W. Bush and John McCain that the Republican Party is the Party of War, the Party of Death.

However, I am not going to be idiotic and say that makes the GOP the Party of Satan.

This thread makes me even more determined to see the Republican Party get hammered at the polls again on November 4. I am glad that I recently sent my second contribution to the Obama campaign.

Agreed, Jamie. But the thing that hangs in the horizon are the Supreme Court nominees. If a Democratic president is elected, it will be guaranteed abortion will go on. If a Republican president is elected, at least there's hope on the Supreme court nominees. Believe me, I don't give the GOP a pass and I stopped believing years ago that GW is a conservative.

Talk (even in big bold letters) is cheap. What has God's Own Party actually done about it?

What can the GOP do? They keep appointing Supreme Court Justices that are pro-life. Other than that, what can they do?

At least they dont blatantly stand up and declare that an unborn babies life is worthless and disgardable.

I will agree with you that Satan's preference is with people/parties that go against God, but I also believe Satan likes unhanded tricks too..

Believing in a "party" that says one thing and does another is a bigger "trick" in my opinion... I think Satan is winning more people with a smoke an mirror show that an all out "here is where I stand" show.

The Republicans might claim to be the party of morality, when in fact they have as many skeletons(and gay people) in their closets as the Democrats.

As Christians, we should stand for the person that respects our views and values instead of a "party". Then we will start to see REAL change, change that Christians would like to see.

It's bigger than the party and until we get past that we will never win.
