Sherrie, I wish they did! I think it would be fun. I like yard sales.

Our church is thinking about doing something like this as a youth fund raiser. The kids would rent tables for $10. and anyone who wants to can bring their items for sale.

Do you like yard sales too?

There is a yard sale that happen every year, around September, I think, on Highway 46, starting at the Alabama line (highway 166 in Georgia), and going the entire length of the highway, 21 miles, to Heflin.

And every year, I get caught behind a car which has to slooooooow down at every table, jam on its brakes, and cause me to think things I normally wouldn't.

Diane I love them. I actually make about 400.00 every year selling stuff. JUNK! We do not pay for any tables. We will be the ones in front of the nearly perfect abandoned building. There will be many people doing the same!

My son will be selling computer stuff and car stereo stuff.

Sherrie; Our town does that, but not on that grand a scale. We have 'block' garage sales where everyone on the block has things to sell. We also have 'sub-division' yard sales.

There are several smaller towns in our area who have 'town-wide' garage sales and fleas markets. I always enjoy going to those.

I used to have a garage sale every year. I just sell on ebay now. It's not as much work and I make more money. [IMG]

    Good Luck!

A small town south of us does this in August. It is lots of fun. I used to spend every Saturday going garage sailing as we called it back then, but now I have too much junk and need to get rid of it.

We have one twice a year here in Wesson! Me, the wife, and kids go--I always get caught up talkin' to the men hangin' around---and there's a booth that some fella has---blackpowder rifles and a big coin collection and a big ole knife display!! He'll have anything there from pen knives to the big ole Bowie's!! Once or twice he'll demonstrate one of his rifles---he don't fire them often--it must be that his wife won't let 'um!! My wife says, "Wanna go to the Wesson Flea Market?" and I ask, "Is the man gonna be there with his guns this year??" and I'm the first one to load up in the pickup to get over there!!
