On a 3hrs drive out of town, I listened to Dr. Mohler's "The Future of the SBC."

    Audio: here

SBC leaders and pastors need to pay attention.

    The times have changed.

Dr. Mohler, that wise one, is spot on.

I thought Mohler was very pointed and headed in a great direction. I'm thankful for those in leadership of our convention who desire to see change for the glory of God.

His comments above are, as expected, measured, thoughtful, and made after careful review of reality. If we don't change we'll die. He is a significant reason SBTS has really become the ideal place for pastoral training in the pantheon of SBC seminaries.

Dr. Mohler is an outstanding Baptist leader. My understanding is that he wants to lead Southern Baptists to return to their historical faith as embodied in the Abstract of Principles.

Excellent - thanks for posting. He is right on the mark, every SBC pastor needs to hear this.

At the 21 second and 40:14 marks he named the SBC as a denomination. Is he suggesting something?

A very similar message was given in the middle 1970's by Peter Lord.

I do hope the SBC will take Mohler seriously.
