Dr. Calvin Evans, a great evangelist from my area, passed on yesterday in Florida.

He called Pedro, Ohio home on earth.(Pedro is a little north of Ironton, OH.)

I heard the news. Very sad. Calvin's son (Cal Ray) married us. My in-laws are very involved at Rubyville Community Church and are close friends with Cal Ray, as are my wife and I.

I remeber watching him on TV on Sunday Mornings before we left the house to go to church.

    What a saint.

I believe Cal Ray will carry on the ministry successfully. He is the "spittin' image" of his dad preaching-wise.

I pray for his continued health. He is diabetic and has another health issue that has caused him to become overweight.(Don't know for sure what it is, but I suspect it's a thyroid gland prob)

Anyone who loves old-style tent preaching, watch on his website for his next camp at the Scioto(OH)Co. Fairgrounds, Lucasville, OH. You will NOT be disappointed!(Camp grounds, RV space available)
