Many KJVOs look to DR. WILLIAM P. GRADY as a leader of their movement. Here's a video to show ya what he's REALLY all about!
    http://www.gradypublications.com/video/intro.htm

Just click the "next" icon near the lower right corner when you're ready to move on to the next part. Sorry, I haven't found a way with my media players to fast-forward through some of the baggage before Dr. Grady's speech.

Please take time to patiently listen to his entire spiel, including the closing comments. You may come away with a different view of KJVO & English versions in general!

Please remember this is a PRO-GRADY video, from Grady Publications. I shall withhold any comments about it till I see what YOU hafta say.

The intro ends abruptly for me at a page that says:

That same afternoon, Pastor Sexton called Dr. Grady at his home to inform him that his Sunday evening meeting was cancelled.

and there never is a video???

Ah, i see from the front page what the problem is:

Requires Windows Media Player 9 or above and Flash Player 8

I consider Flash Player 8 to be MAL-WARE.
Obviously I won't be watching this video.

    considering

For someone who is telling the young pastors to preach what's INSIDE the Bible, he certainly spent a lot of time preaching what other men have written (including his own book). Sadly, he also seemed quite "stuck" on himself.

First, there is really no KJVO "movement." Churches that hold this position are largely independent churches. The position is a result of direct or indirect study of the issue and not merely adhering to the party line.

Secondly, Dr. Grady is not a "leader" but merely one of many authors who happened to write on the subject.

Then how come almost all of'em repeat the stuff from the Wilkinson-Ray-Ruckman-Fuller "party line"?

Quite a few KJVOs wave his book around as if it's their "Owners' Manual".

To me, Grady's a fancy book salesman. He even hawks RIPLINGER'S stuff!

I watched the whole video. His sermon given at Crown College was not to complain about individuals which use modern versions as much as it was to condemn those institutions that have not consistantly stayed KJVO. He claims that "all" fundamental colleges "must" eventually apostasize, and he implies Hyles-Anderson, Tennessee Temple, Bob Jones, and Pensacola are examples.

His sermon is primarily taken from Judges 12:5-6 (Shibboleth, or Sibboleth?), which he follows with his seven ways to identify false KJV-Onlyism ("Ephraimites"). Interestingly, he also offers a historical narrative of his KJVO experiences. His book Final Authority is prominently displayed.

Dr. Grady clearly holds to the most extreme KJV-Onlyist position, that is, that the English text of KJV now supercedes even the Greek text from which most of it is translated. Although, in his distain for weaker KJVists, he properly points out that not all the KJV text is from the Greek, but also borrows from the Latin and other sources. In fact, he correctly states that there is no single Greek TR to back up the KJV translation.

From the video he essentially endorses both Ruckman and Riplinger. It was facinating to watch Pastor Sexton's attempt at the end to mitigate some of the damage.

Another basic mistake Grady makes is calling the Gileadites & Ephraimites JEWS. In the time of the Judges, the Jews were only the tribe of JUDAH. After the nation was split by God during Rehoboam's reign, the Jews consisted of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and mosta Levi. Goes to show how well Grady doesn't know his Bible.

Considering they were all blood kin, they were all Jews.

I do understand the emphasis some place on when Jewry began, but blood is thicker than water.:jesus:

Your little diatribe just illustrates for all the world to see your unending contempt for anything or anyone who is not like you.

That man has several EARNED degrees. You don't EARN a degree in biblical studies by being as inept as you falsely accuse Dr. Grady of being.

Evidently...you have born false witness and would be called a liar by any standard of measurement.

    SHAME on you Cranston.

No, they weren't. In Jephthah's time, only the tribe of Judah were Jews. They were all ISRAELIS.

I am an American and and an Ohioan. While all Ohioans are Americans, not all Americans are Ohioans. While all Jews are Israellis, not all Israelis were/are Jews.

NO ONE is like me. No one is like you. God made us each unique individuals.

That man has several EARNED degrees. You don't EARN a degree in biblical studies by being as inept as you falsely accuse Dr. Grady of being.

Then he has all the less excuse for making the errors he clearly made.

    Wrong!

The evidence is clearly seen & heard on the video. It's not guesswork such as KJVOs are fond of using. It's empirical fact.

    SHAME on you Cranston.

No, shame on YOU for supporting someone who takes up the false Hyles line that one can be saved only thru the KJV, & that God has killed people for not being KJV. Now, did the man he mentioned at the first of his speech go to prison for not being KJVO, or for violating the law of the land?

I'm trying to figure this out. His Th. M. is from Baptist International School of Theology, which doesn't exist on the Internet other than in connection with Brady's name. His Ph. D. in history is from Baptist International Seminary, which also does not exist in the States on the Internet. (There is one in Switzerland.)

Now, a doctorate in history from a seminary??? This also doesn't exist anywhere other than in connection with Brady. Seminaries by their very nature, without exception, only give theological degrees: Th. M., M. Div., M. A. B. S., D. Min., Ph. D. in theology and the like. I have checked the programs of literally dozens of seminaries. Grady's would be unique.

Can you give me some real information about these schools to prove they are not degree mills? I worked hard for my BA in Bible and my MA in Biblical Studies, both genuine. I would like to respect Brady, but I can't if his degrees are from degree mills or fake. :tear:
