Dr. Henry Morris is with the Lord now

    He passed last night. Whether or not one agreed with him, he almost singlehandedly brought creation science to the forefront. I had the privilege of meeting and talking with him several times. He was a kindly, patient man with true Christian character. I am sure that he has just heard, or will hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

    He was the co-founders of Christian Heritage College in San Diego, (Now San Diego Christian). I believe Dr. LaHaye was one founders as well.

    I have long benefited from the works of Dr Henry Morris. I am sure his reward in heaven will be great. Thank God for this man's ministry.

    Read many of Dr Morris' devotionals. Much wonderful insight into the Word of God.

    Except it is for a more reasonable faith than the one that places its trust in Haekel's drawings and elaborate trees of life that are directly contradicted by both genetic and fossil evidence.

    Recent discoveries in a "Cambrian" fossil bed in China demonstrate that phyla/species arose suddenly, complex, and without a precursor.

    Darwin's fossil gaps are wider 150 years later than they were when he proposed the theory.

    Yet frauds like Haekel's drawings continue to be confidently preached as "proof" to unwary school children.

    Any idea that must silence competing ideas and its critics to survive... is in all probability both false and dishonest.

    I knew Dr Morris for many years from the University of Minnesota and his first colaborations with John Whitcomb on the Creation issue. A godly man of highest Christian character.

    It is a sad day to see a real GIANT of Christianity pass.

    My goodness this is a sad trip to Baptist Board.

    I hear about the passing or Dr Henry Morris and the terminal condition...unless God has other plans ;) ...of Zola Levitt.

    2 of my absolute favorites

    I have a couple of brother Morris's books and a tape series. He was a wonderful teacher, and his institute is doing great work regarding the spreading of the truth in the midst of devilish error.

    God bless Henry Morris, as He surely is at the very moment.
