The Amalfi Coast. It's where we went for our first honeymoon and we intend to go back there to celebrate either our 7th or 10th anniversary ( we were hoping to do it this year for our 5th but the children are too small to dump with grandparents for that length of time)

This was the view from our hotel window (6th pic down)

Our first honeymoon was to Bermuda and it was wonderful. We went back there for our 15th anniversary and it was equally wonderful especially since we went with friends (it was their first anniversary).

I think if I could go anywhere, I'd love to try Europe or Alaska. :) A cruise would be nice but DH wouldn't do it unless it had sails and he was the captain. LOL

    Hawaii for me.
Hey, I never had a first honeymoon, but we did spend some time in a cabin in the woods for our 25th. (even though it was a national park it was great).

Either a cabin in the mountains or a cruise on a Riverboat. For our first honeymoon we traveled down the California Coast and it was wonderful!!

About the last place on my list would be Hawaii or anywhere tropical - LOL!!!

We went to a State Park. We had a cabin in the woods. It was February, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

We got there on Saturday and left on Wednesday.

Most anywhere away. We're flexible. We probably need an ocean, though.

Any carribean cruise, east, west, south, it doesn't matter. That part of the world is beautiful.

    Does that back yard encompass the State of California?
My wife and I would go to Blairsville, Ga. Vogel State Park.

State Parks are great Mel  Sounds nice, I'll look it up

We stayed in a few of them, but like a little more enmities than they usually have to offer. I like to be able to shower.

My backyard meant my back yard but we do venture further from time to time. Not lately though since our son is older, he is less apt to want to vacation.

We remain within 3 hours of our home for any vacation. It makes me nervous to be so far away, becoming such a homebody now.
We go to the ocean for the weekend to stay at Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel, meet others from various countries. A lady from New Zealand traveled with us for three days as we drove alongside the ocean staying at various hostels.
Or we do an overnighter in Reno occasionally, maybe a bike tour riding from town to town, then I went further. Haven't done one in 3 years or so now.

Traveling too far away costs more money. I feel it's wasting $ that could have been donated to others who truly need it.

You all got me checking out what cabins in state parks offer.!
Thanks for all the entries! More please?

My dream 2nd honeymoon destination is... New Zealand!

But like Matt, the children are still young and we don't want to be too far away.

Maybe we'll settle for the beaches of Thailand or something like that. (2 hours away.)

For our 5th, we've decided to go here as much closer to Mrs B's parents.
