Has anyone been to Duluth, MN? What do you think of the town?
A beautiful place to visit- especially nice right now with the changing leaves. Great for families!
Don't miss the harbor tour among the ore freighters and grain ships. Odd to be 2000 miles from an ocean and see those huge ships.
Duluth is a little provincial and really a blue-collar type place. Not much special to do - but the sight seeing along the ridge is fabulous.
Go up the North Shore aabout 30 miles.
Split Rock Light House
Or south only 5 miles.
Jay Cook State Park is FABULOUS with a roaring river gorge, hiking trails, etc
All worth the short drive from Duluth
Love that area. And fall colors should be a riot.
I always said, if I had unlimited funds, I'd own two homes, one in Duluth and one in Corpus Christi, so all year 'round I could enjoy those hug ships. Duluth is a beautiful city.
I love Duluth but would have preferred to live in Superior, Wisconsin. I love the cool climate, year round, and as a pivot point for places to visit, the wonders of God's creation are so close.
Me and my wife had our honeymoon and second anniversary there.
When I was young my mom and sister camped up along the north shore, especially at Gooseberry falls.
Here's a cool webcam link to Duluth Harbor.
Cool link, thanks
