See title . . .
Mine is working fine. Trust me, I REALLY need it.
In this forum, no one can edit their postings...at least us peons can't.
I did have a problem in one other forum today, while I was trying to edit.
I have noticed that when you are presenting a post, if you try to change something the code remains in the post which can make things messy. If you hit the top right function (Use BB Code Editor) while posting it will allow you to see the code and make sure the code you want there is what is there.
Something else I have found is that sometimes when something is copied and pasted from another site it already has the code and that comes with it.
When cutting and pasting it works better to <right click> and "paste as plain text" or use the <control> <shift> <v> all at the same time. That eliminates all the formatting from the original site.
As of now, I've had zero problems. Watch me start having them now.
Thanks, that has helped a great deal.
Been using <control> <shift> <v>, as I cannot find paste plain text in my prompts.
Feel silly asking....Where is the edit post button? I don't see it, but maybe it's staring right at me.
Also, what are the check boxes for on the thread post titles and at the bottom of each post?
I meant "thread titles". Messed up another post. I really need the edit button if I can find it.
Bottom line. Your name, when you posted, then Edit Delete etc.
Thanks for the reply. I don't see that on my screen. It just looks like:
#11 PinkFlowers, 59 minutes ago (with a check box in front of it)
We're looking into it. Hang in there.
Can you logout, login and try again please?
You should be able to edit your own thread title to correct any errors for the first 5 minutes after you have created a thread.
As people might respond with posts to a thread after a while and changing the thread title after that may make the thread and posts uncorrelated.
P.S : This will work on any new threads one creates.
OK. I logged out and back in, but things look the same.
I wanted to edit one of my posts, but my posts do not have an edit button visible to me.
Thanks for clarifying, edit might not be available for all usergroups.
One can always post under their old post, clarifying the content.
Just like an email/text.
Oh, OK. Thank you.
I will be writing a post and all of the sudden the screen will shoot down to the bottom of the page.
I get that sometimes (or all of a sudden the "backspace" turns into "last page" and I'm off the thread entirely). It's like cat and mouse when replying on a tablet.
