Come to our church....you'll hear some.

I'd respectfully ask you to not throw Bibles in the garbage while you're here, though...

Among the current generation [you know, the ones who reach adult-hood in the 21st Century (2001-2100) ] 'preaching' is considered a curse word. So quit your cussing. Besides, I bet you think 'preaching' means talking. Well I'm a teaching-pastor and you ain't done much listening to me when I go 'preaching'.

    Here is Christ's PRIVE DIRECTIVE:

    Mat 28:18-20 (KJV1611 Edition)
And Iesus came, and spake vnto them, saying, All power is giuen vnto me in heauen and in earth.
19 Goe ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Sonne, and of the holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to obserue all things, whatsoeuer I haue commanded you: and loe, I am with you alway, euen vnto the end of the world. Amen.

Preaching is nice, but ministry requires teaching.

I was left holding that version and could not think of anything else to do with it except use it for a door stop and we already have those attached to the doors that can be engaged and disengaged without even bending over.

I've heard alot of preaching and alot of performance adorned teaching.

So now you're accusing God to be "cussing' when He clearly stated that he chose the foolishness of preaching to save them which believe?

I can teach while i preach, but if you don't know the difference I am sorry for you.

Your statements are taken out of context and resemble a direct attack on the word of God

II Tim 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

// I can teach while i preach, but if you don't know the difference I am sorry for you.//

Do I detect an unwillingness to teach?

    2 Timotht 2:24-25 (KJV1611 Edition):
And the seruant of the Lord must not striue: but bee gentle vnto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekenesse instructing those that oppose themselues, if God peraduenture will giue them repentance to the acknowledging of the trueth.

Salamender (in another Topic, probably about 2004): //What is a "multiple version"? Is that serpent talk?//

It is anti-serpent talk. I use a four canon cannon to blow away demons.

The four barrel canon i use has these Bibles in it. Each Bible is seperately inerrant and is the perfectly preserved written word of God for some group that speaks the brand of English used in the translation. All four Bibles are the collective inerrant and is the perfectly preserved written word of God

Here are the four Bibles in TODAY'S PARALLEL BIBLE (Zondervan, 1996):

    1. New Internatinal Version (NIV)
    2. New American Standard Bible, Updated Version (NASB1995)
    3. King James Version (KJV1883) [this is very similiar to a KJV1850]
    4. New Living Translation (NLT)

Yes, you nasty demon of darkness, I'm authorized and deputized to blow you clean out of the water with my four barrel canon cannon!

Pretty slick...sneaking in a dig at me without really insulting me. I caught it, though.

Like I said, pretty slick. Not nice.....but slick.

    Effects in W/H textual criticisms

The effects of the Westcott & wHomever (W/H's) textual criticisms is to enhanse the accuracy of the Bible in the Source Languages. Amen!

Apparently the Catholics added about 20,000 words to the MT (majority text)

You've watched too many episodes of Star Trek The Next Generation and believed it.

I'm amazed at the alter effects W/H textual criticims have had on people who endorse those versions so aptly deemed as MV's to sense things that don't exist except in the figment of thier imaginations.

If you would like, I will take a collection of other versions we've replaced with the KJB. If finances impose a problem I will even send them to you postage paid.

Yeah, Brother, teach it, whatever it may be.

There are certain to be some ears that itch in your neighborhood.

    Back to the OP, please.

W/H's theologies effected the use of certain MSS to either alter the renderings of them or omit some of those which have been canonized into Scripture and received by those who predate ourselves by many generations.

No, I'm not calling you names. Read what I wrote. I wrote the writing in 2004 (that was four years ago). The quotation is from a Gospel Song probably from the early 1980s that I heard on OKC (OKlahoma City) Christian Radio started by AoG (Assembly of God) TV preacher from Louisiana (the brother of Jerry Lee Lewis /stage name/ ) whose name I can't recall else I would have already typed it . Add in: Jimmy Swaggert.

Well, the canon (scripture collection) cannon (artillery) I made up. But blowing away the devil with a hand gun is a metaphor from Bro. Swaggert's OKC radio station (he sold it after slipping from the grace of those who made him a millionaire recording artist). Swaggert probably has three times as many recordings sold as Elvis P. - but nobody keeps track of religious recordings sold.

Look at my trailer, I way prefer talking about Jesus to talking about snakes with legs.

I keep using metaphors (the Bible does also): I compare a four-Bible Parallel Bible ( four canons) with a hyper-artillery piece with four barrels.

Look here for FIGURES OF SPEECH by A.W.Bullenger:

    http://www.tentmaker.org/bullinger.htm

'Figure of Speech' is also known as 'rhetorical device'. 'Metaphor' is a figure of speech in which an implicit comparison is made. If I had said:

a four Bible canon LIKE a four barreled cannon

it would have been a simile ( a figure of speech where an explicit comparison is made)
