What makes this thing even more funny is that the Egyptians involved are not related to the Egyptians who lost their gold to the fleeing jews.
The Koptic Christians of Egypt are the descendents of the Farao's and their people. The Egyptian Arabs involved in this potential lawsuit have the conquerors of Egypt during the early days of Islam as ancestors.

The problem with this is that the Jews never took the gold it was given to them by the Egyptians...they really should read their bibles....

Does it say anywhere in the article who they are going to serve the papers on specifically?

G'day Ben ... it would seem to me that God conspired with the Jews to take the goods of the people of Egypt. I don't think that the word "plundered" implys free will giving. The Jews blackmailed them. Sort of like: "give us your goods or our God will get you!" They may need to add God to the lawsuit for He is implicated in the stealing of the goods.

Ex 9:33 The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country. "For otherwise," they said, "we will all die!" 34 So the people took their dough before the yeast was added, and carried it on their shoulders in kneading troughs wrapped in clothing. 35 The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing. 36 The LORD had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians .

Consider the tabloid sources from which they came. One disgruntled man's ramblings does not equate to all of Egypt.

Although, a countersuit for 400 years slave reparations would be interesting.

Hmmm, that would be an interesting topic? Would it be acceptible for the Jews to sue the Egyptians for slavery reparations?

Based on Scripture, the Israelites didn't steal the gold but took was was rightfully theirs, 400 years of unpaid wages.
