Regardless of who you think would run the country better, (ha), with just over two months left until the Congressional elections, who will control the two houses of Congress?

The new terror alert wraps it up for the GOP for both houses unless another significant event happens before the November election that hurts the GOP.

The DEMS will make some small gains, but the GOP will retain the House and Senate...UNLESS, that is, an illegal immigrant launches a succesful terrorist attack on America. Then, the DEMS are likely to win both house and senate and Bush will be impeached.

That's why I said the Dems. Because the Repubs have failed to defend and protect our borders while they have been in the majority.

While this is true, it will not effect them politically unless we are actually attacked and America is awakened.

My question is how much are we willing to pay to secure our borders? If the Gov would sub-contract the work would would come out a lot better but the Gov way of doing business will have 1/2 of every tax dollar going to the actual security.

I'm see trends where people are no longer voting by party lines. They are reviewing each candidate as an individual and selecting that way. I really think it's time to reform our entire system of Gov but we all know that will never happen.
