Elton John Celebrates Birthday at Church!

    Elton John, who earlier stated that organized religion should be banned because it promotes hatred towards gays and turns people into "hateful lemmings," celebrated his 60th birthday at St. John the Divine Cathedral in Manhattan. All of the pews were removed and the pulpit was turned into a stage. He ordered 1,000 bottles of champagne for the 400 guests. On Sunday, Elton performed at Madison Square Garden with an image of a burning church behind him. That sure wasn't very tolerant of him.

    And the church rented the building out to be used in such a manner because ?????

    I can't imagine any amount of income used for any amount of good would be worth this cost.

    How horroable that they allowed their building to be used like that, whenit is supose to be dedicated to the service and worship of God. what were they thinking? $$$
