Because God has said, "NEVER will I leave you; NEVER will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5 Because Jesus promised they could never perish "I give them eternal life, and they will NEVER perish. No one can snatch them away from me". John 10:28
Because they have the Holy Spirit of truth inside "But they will NEVER follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice." John 10:5 Because God can! And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will NEVER again remember their sins. Hebrews 8:12 :godisgood:

Indeed!!! All that the Father giveth to him "I SHALL LOSE NOTHING" (Jn. 6:39). "They went out from us because they were not OF us; for if they had been OF us they would NO DOUBT HAVE CONTINUED with us..." 1 Jn. 2:19

    As Peter would attest!

2Th 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

There is NOTHING that God's grace cannot overcome. To the glory of Jesus Christ.

2Th 2:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

OK, but there is no objective test for a specific person having eternal security.

Of course there is. Just read the Apostle's doctrines.

    Here is one...

Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

If one does not know the SPirit of Christ they are none of His. That is, not saved. If one knows the Spirit of Christ then one knows that they are saved.

HP: Scripture says he lost one. Unless you are God, you still beg the question of whether or not you are deceived, thinking yourself to be something you are not. Of a truth, God is privy to information that you and I are not. We operate by faith and God sees the beginning from the end.

You err not knowing the Scriptures...
To accuse God of forgetting, losing, being absent minded, losing his mind, etc. is a terrible accusation indeed. When God gives eternal life he means it, and he never loses that which he has given. He hasn't lost a sheep yet. How could he? Do you serve a God with imperfections? A God who has Alzheimer's? Surely you jest???
God does not lose anything, indeed cannot; and cannot lose any of his children. It is impossible.
The Lord knows them that are His. He knows His own. They are secure in His hand. He can never lose any of them. They shall never perish, no, never.

Joh 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, BUT the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

You have absolutely no right to say that Judas was not His. Scripture indicates he was and was lost. Let God's Word be true and everyman a liar.

No, he never left the family of Satan. Scripture says:
"Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world."
A believer who is indwelt with the Holy Spirit cannot be possessed by Satan, yet we read that Satan entered into Judas. It wasn't simply a demon. He wasn't demon-possessed. He was "Satan-possessed." This could not happen to a "child of God." Satan never left Satan's family and never entered God's family. He was not born again.
    God never lost any.

Then Jesus replied, "Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you IS a devil!" Let God be true and every man a liar. Well we should just be kind and say Heavenly is in error. Luke 22:22 The Son of Man is going away, just as it has been determined, but how terrible it will be for that man by whom he is betrayed!"

This is why not trusting in Gods words makes you stir crazy. We have a know so salvation...not a hope so salvation.

HP: When you reason once a devil always a devil, you reason in error. Read the Scriptures.

You might be decieved yourself according to your earlier post....so how are you gonna discern who is in error? Double standard? A "D'oh!" moment?

First, you are openly and explicitly pitting Jesus in one text (Jn. 6:39) against Jesus in another text (Jn. 17:12). You are making a liar out of Christ and proving you don't understand either text.

John 6:36-44 that teaches "OF ALL" that the Father gives him to save he "SHALL LOSE NOTHING" while at the same time informing us that Judas is classed with those who were not true belevers in Christ and therefore was not given to Christ by the Father to save:

64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father......70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

So in the very context where Jesus claims that he "SHALL LOSE NOTHING" he separates Judas as one who never beleived, thus one never "given" unto Christ, thus never came to Jesus in true faith but "IS" a devil.

In John 17:12 he is simply pointing out that Judas according to prophetic scripture was never a "son of God" but the "son of perdition" just as he earlier confirmed in John 6.

HP: I failed to read that in that verse. The reason why is that it is not there. Your presupposition of OSAS is showing.
