Eunuchs in Babylon?

    Isaiah prophesies to Hezekiah in Isaiah 39:7 "And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."

    In our Bible study class tonight, a question came up that I never considered. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were taken to Babylon and they served in the palace of the king of Babylon.

    Based on Isaiah 39:7, did the Babylonians make them eunuchs when they took them to Babylon?

    Note that there is no record of their wives or children that I know of.

    Yes they were made eunuchs

    Well, that gives several more reasons not to bow to the king's statue:
    • They were mad. Wouldn't YOU be?
    • They were sore. Bowing's gotta be tough, post-op.

    You'd think they wouldn't have the... um... er... ah... "guts" to stand up to the king after that.

    Well, I don't get it and I probably don't want to either. :saint:

    As far as these young men being made eunuchs, I just don't know the answer. I've got to ponder on that a while and do some study......
