What do people think about witnessing over the web?

What are your thoughts on evangelistic web sites?

Look forward to hearing from you all.

It is a great tool. It is an even better invention than the amplifying system was! [IMG]

BTW, welcome to the BaptistBoard.com! Are you related to Robert J. Hutton from the UK?

    I would agree!

My area of work is in fact web site design, and I have recently completed work on such a site, and am looking to spread the address round the world to both Christians and non-Christians.

Please check it out, and forward it to everyone you know - encouraging them to do the same!!

BTW - Robert J Hutton is my father!

    Every blessing, Simon.

I think it is a great way to get the gospel out to lost people.

    Amen!

But of course - there's always a select few in the church at large that claim that the web is cheapening the gospel.

I've even been told that Christians shouldn't use the World Wide Web for Christian sites as it puts them on the same level as pornography ...

    Oh well.

Don't you think the same argument could be used for money (mammon). It can be used for good and for bad. The choice is left to you. So is with the WWW. [IMG]

Incidentally, I have looked at your Web Site (which you also list in your profile) before I answered your initial post. Nice site, you are doing an important work. Trust that you will maintain it for the glory of the Lord! [IMG]

Glad you liked the web site - please feel 100% free to email as many people as you know with the web site address!

Tell all the Christians to keep spreading it around, and all the non-Christians to read it and be saved!!

    Simon

God has given me the same vision that you have. I've started an evangelization site at TheGospel I think you can reach millions over the web, perhaps billions. I think that the web is part of the prophecy in Daniel where it speaks of knowledge and world wide travel before the end will come.
