This isn't about "liking Obama" or "getting along" with Obama. This is about supporting and implementing his ideas and policies.

Anyone that can support Obama's agenda speaks volumes about his/her own character.

If Gates can do his job without compromising his principles, then we are better off for having him as Defense Sec.

We'll see how he feels after Obama guts the military for $50Billion while putting more troops in harms way in Afganistan.

    peace to you:praying:

So... there were some democrats who liked President Bush. What's your point?

I support President Obama because he is my president. He's a likable guy. But I agree with very little that he stands for.

I still hope his plans to eliminate restrictions on abortion fails.
I still hope his plans to move us toward socialism fails.
And I pray that God's Holy Spirit will get a hold on his life and turn his heart toward God and His Word.

This may surprise you.. but I actually LIKE Obama.. .as a person. He is a very intelligent, likable guy. His Charisma is wonderful.. and I like him....

    BUT...

His belief system is against true Christianity.. and for this, I cannot say I like HIS POLICIES OR BELIEFS.

Why do I say his belief system is against true Christianity?
    He is not an evangelical.
He believes in liberation theology.. which teaches that we are not saved by Jesus' blood alone.. but when we get all the social ills of this world fixed then we will have Heaven on Earth... the millenial kingdom will then be ushered in.
It is a works based theological system.. and it is easy to see why he believes so strongly in community activism.. and promoting social programs... hence it looks alot like socialism.

So his biblical world view is built more from Jesus' words from the sermon on the mount than from Jesus' actions on mount Calvary.
Where as, in true Christianity, we beleive that Jesus came to save mankind from sin...

Not to give us a better world.

So his underlying belief system is his driving force. He is a man that stands for his convictions.. but the problem is, his convictions stem from the heretical liberation theology, instead of evangelicalism.

For more information google liberation theology, as compared to evangelicalism.

Then on top of this, his policies on abortion.. disqualifies him from ever getting my support.

    That doesn't mean I don't like him..

I pray for him daily.. as I would any president.
I also pray that God will grab his heart, and convict him, so that he will see that the flavor of Christianity he has been taught is NOT going to get him to Heaven.

The only thing that will take him there is the Blood of Jesus Christ... not the social gospel of the liberation theologies...

Obviously, a lot of Democrats and Republicans both voted for Obama. However, a lot on both sides are now wishing they hadn't been taken in by his 'change'.

He's not doing too well in the polls...

I am praying for the office of the President. I make no bones about not being fond of the man. I do not respect him, but I do respect his office.

Before anyone jumps on me. I am entitled to my opinion just like the rest of you...

I don't understand you guys. You criticized Obama when you thought he was going to cut and run in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now you criticize him for being overly aggressive by sending more troops to Afghanistan. Which is it ot arer you just criticizing him for no good reason?

I saw no one here criticize him because of any thoughts of Odrama cutting and running.

Try reading the post a little slower...then you will understand.

I'm not criticizing him for sending troops to Afghanistan. I'm criticizing him for slashing the defense budget while sending more troops to Afghanistan.

You shouldn't send troops into harm's way and not fund them adaqately.

It is a massacre waiting to happen.

    peace to you:praying:
