So they picked the dean of the College of Cardinals! How surprising.

Unless he denies that Jesus is the Christ, denies the Father and the Son, and/or denies that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, he doesn't fit the scriptural definition of spirit of antichrist.

If he preaches a gospel other than that revealed to Paul, let him be accursed!

He is 78 years old. Many of the pundits say that they chose him as an "interim" pope. He is perhaps more conservative than John Paul II was. His nickname is the "NO Pope," for saying NO to Liberal ideas. Perhaps that may be good for the present time. It may be the one after the "interim" that we should be aware of.

Let us say then that he is just another greart deciever who denies the power of Christ for salvation.

I watched the introduction on T.V. and he said that (my translation from memory) he trusted that Jesus and His blessed mother Mary would watch over and guide him.

Later he mentioned that they would pray to the Saints and Apostles also.

    Peace,

    Tam

    Charity will out. </font>
Sorry - I don't understand your post. </font>
Translation: Some of you people don't seem to have a charitable bone in your bodies when it comes to certain of your fellow Christians. You bring shame upon yourselves and the faith you profess with your serpent tongues.

I don't consider a man who calls upon a dead woman in his first address as "pope" to protect and guide him to be a fellow Christian.

How about "they will know we are pagans by our paganism"??

Lets stick with what both sides can easily see.

Love does not preclude exposing error. </font>
That response is so standard it's become a cliche.

They will know we are Christians by how we expose one another's error?
