I think his conclusion about class warfare is correct but then blows it with name calling. His side is described with nice words and the other side with nasty words. The choice of personal pronouns, verbs, and adjectives sets the theme.

For example, when describing an arrest, a police officer should write, "I used the minimum force required to make the arrest," not "I beat him unconscious." Both statements could be accurate but by the 2nd he will hang himself in the ensuing law suit.

Most of you have been brainwashed into thinking all your problems are caused by other people . . . other working class people. You have been conned into believing you are "middle class" and socially superior, mentally smarter, and morally more Christian" than blue collar working people.

As my old man liked to say, "If you are so smart how come you are not rich?"

What is your definition of "rich"?

How do you know who here on the board is or is not "rich"?

Read a story about a rich guy and a camel once.

The author didn't say anything about the rich parasitical elite class that's been stealing our lives and labor since the civil war. Their at war with all of us peasants whether we fancy oursevles to be winners or losers, lefties or righties while OP authors like this guy here does their level best to keep our attetion focused elswhere.

Writing as person who is in the top 10% (due to circumstances beyond by control) I'll agree with Obama that "rich" is a person with over $200K ($250/family) in tax table income.

Statistically, odds are against many on this list paying take on more than $200K.

    HMMMM...

I thought most "blue collar working people" were considered middle class.

My pension pays around $50K - 60% of a Seattle PD first grade patrolman's pay.

    >I thought most "blue collar working people" were considered middle class.

Then who are are bottom class? Those on welfare and people living on SS (which is welfare)? Illegal aliens? I think you just eliminated "working class" which is how our owners want you to think.

Read novels from the first half of the last century. In most of them doctors, lawyers, business owners, mechanical engineers, some preachers had cooks and maids do the housework for their stay at home wives. Those were the "middle class" of that 50 years.

How many people in those occupations have cooks and maids in this century? How would you classify them socially/economically in this year?
