Many, many many baptists do the same what Ann told about every day all across the country. It is common. They also see many, many people come to know Christ. How many do you see?

Evangelist, I honestly and sincerely applaud you for your zeal to get God's word out to the lost, who are in dire need of hearing it. I also applaud you for your use of these gospel tracts of which you use as well.:thumbsup:

But those rabbits and hog pics are making me hungry.:laugh:

I also applaud you and your church for their zeal of preaching to wicked sinners.:thumbsup:

Imagine that; a Calvinist with the audacity to preach to the lost.:thumbs:

I'm not home, but my computer was going out when I used it last. It would only work on a monitor and that was fading. I'll get a new one when this one finally dies. I also still have that 30 + year old refrigerator. I can replace both, so I don't "have to" keep either. It's a matter of knowing my wants from my needs and making good choices. But I am on my phone because I am not home.

I was asking a real question. You said you quit drinking in the context of denying your self to be the husband you needed to be. On this thread you seem to be backing off that statement and saying you merely don't drink in front of your wife. Which is it? If the latter, how are you different from the hypocrite?

My wife is a recovering alcoholic......i have beer in the fridge ...she detests beer. Drug of choice for her is wine or rum. If i brought that home, id be tempting her. Ohand ive been to AA meetings, in court and in treatment with her. It isnt the drug....its the choice to drink or not drink. You dont tempt.....they need to realize that they are dead if they drink....its a matter of maturity. Lets face it, its always attainable

I understand your situation. It is different , however, when your wife believes it is a sin for you to drink. You are looking out for your wife. But if Evan drinks then he willfully sins in his wife's eyes. He is looking out for his own lusts at the expense of being a righteous husband to his wife.

Evan, you just replied to a post with a picture of a hog. Believe me, I understand tiresome.

I was explaining my reply to E,W,&F. I was not saying that you drink when your wife is not around. It was a question of character and integrity. Whether or not you drink, well .....Frankly, my dear,

Just old I guess. I had it for well over 8 years. I'm on an Army post as we speak (as I type) and they have a good deal on one. I am thinking about getting it, and if I knew mine was dead I would

This is what is happening: The screen is dead so I have to use a monitor (which is bad as I like using dual screens). Now the image on the monitor is losing contrast (the graphic card, perhaps). It's a 8 yr old dell running vista (not worth repairing).

    Two points:

    1. To my knowledge, Jon C has been nothing but polite to you in this thread and in others.

    2. You are the one who has acquired the reputation of telling others to chase rabbits, an activity that certain dogs are bred to do.

My computer is actually still working....whod'a thunk it? I didn't get the one at Ft. Knox, but I'm still good.....for now.

I could easily do without the computer if it were not for my Bible software. I could probably do without that as well, but it makes studying so much easier as my Greek references are mostly digital (I was a poor Greek seminary student - not a Greek dude going through seminary without money but an Irish descended American student with a rather dull mind for languages :tear: ).
