Explaining the trinity to kids

    Please read my initial post again:

    Notice I said only that most adults don't really understand the Trinity and then ask a simple question. I did not say we should not try to understand the Triune Nature of God. I did not question the Triune Nature of God. I just questioned: Isn't it asking a little too much to expect that children understand?

    Yeah, I just don't think we need to constantly appeal to the lowest common denominator.

    I've explained these concepts to children before. I am constantly amazed at how well kids grasp concepts that I think will be hard for them.

    We should always try to make sure they don't get discouraged. :)
